    The original site stated you should be using TCP and able to see the IP address as 192.168.2.1. If you've connected successfully, you'll see data for the AXIS and ROLL fields.
    My graph didn't show any data until I started waving some stuff in front of the Mevo+.

      Ron,

      You connect your PC to the Mevo+ via wifi and the app recognizes the unit automatically. You run it via TCP and the IP address is already populated.

        If I remember correctly the original site instructions said if the graph was Green you were good and Orange or Red was bad, with a flat line being perfect. When I moved my Mevo+ near the fridge in a different room the graph was all Orange with very big spikes.

        I have no noise in my environment with:
        Mevo+ running on internal battery
        Mevo+ plugged into FS battery pack purchased from FS with my unit
        plugged directly into the wall with FS cable and FS power adapter.

        I moved my hand in front of the Mevo+ to make sure it picked it up and the app was recording in each scenario.

        I have not tried using an extension cord, power strip, etc.

        I also noticed the app auto-scales the graph. The large green spikes I had from moving my hand in front of the unit, changed to small spikes when I put the Mevo+ in front of a fan and the graph turned orange.

          I have 0 interference on the unit's battery and when I plug in my battery pack ....I get about 15...so I am in the yellow.

            I was using my Mevo+ yesterday for the first time with an extension cord and the Raspberry Pi power block that came with it (Europe). Mevo+ started registering ghost shots like crazy and it wouldn’t stop. I tried it with the FS Golf app, with the FS Skills app and E6, same thing with all if them.

            I finally disconnected the Mevo+ from the extension cord and the issues disappeared, worked without any problems from the internal battery.

            Glad to see here that it must have been the same interference experienced by many. I’ll be getting a power bank shortly.

              Just read through this post, so everyone is saying they're using power banks to extend the battery life of the mevo plus. I'm going to try some experiments with powering the mevo with various power cords, hopefully find something that works. I find it hard to believe there's no way to power the unit while it's running. I'm just finishing my initial mevo plus Sim setup, so I'll post if I have any success.

                Great post, and appreciate publishing the app which will be really handy.

                I would love to permanently plug in the Mevo+ but was under the impression that there was very little support for this? Specifically that you can/should only use the supported extension cords (which are incredibly short), no extension cables, no surge protectors, etc.

                The YouTube video by Scott Hogan talks about some of the limitations:



                I'm a little hesitant to experiment with this, as I have already had to send one unit back do you power issues Although would love to know about any new support to be able to permanently plug it in while using it, as the battery pack approach can be a bit tedious....

                  Looks like they've added this utility into the FS Golf app. You can find it under the Settings>>Support>>Advanced Tools menu.

                    When it says there is a firmware update, is it only a matter of updating the software from the App Store, or do we need to do something with the unit itself? Sorry for the ignorance.

                      Has anyone tried plugging in a battery pack to the mevo, then plugging in the battery pack to the wall or extension cord? I just ordered a battery pack but it won't arrive until next week. Just trying to find some solution that let's me power the mevo for more than 3-4 hours at a time...

                        Foofighter Have you seen interference when plugged in? Have you tried the app or notice a difference when running on battery vs plugged in?

                        When I plug my unit into a wall and run the app, I get a flat line like when running on a battery or battery pack. I get interference when I turn the fan on.

                        If you do have interference, you may try a power conditioner.

                        At my old house, I had dirty/noisy power coming in and it effected my sound system. I now have a power conditioner for the sound system and great sound.

                          Anyone try or have a ferrite ring/core (whatever the cool kids call them) That they could snap on to an extension cord and see if it cleans up the noise when plugged in.

                            Tried it. Not sure if it worked or not. I had too many variables I was changing. Will be running some interference tests in the next couple of days. For what it's worth, my setup now is great. No phantom hits and accurate reading for everything.

                          This is what I see when I have the mevo plugged in to a extension cord... I don't have a battery pack yet to test though.

                          My mevo is plugged into it's own circuit, it's the only thing on that breaker. However I did notice something interesting. When I first received the mevo I ran the interference test plugged in and I got zero interference. Second time I got the results shown in this picture, line is up and down but green. Third time I ran it, the lines moved much more and was red.

                          So there's an external factor at play here. Maybe the load my house is pulling through the main breaker in my garage is having a direct effect on the interference the mevo is seeing...? My next test tonight, I will shut off the breaker feeding my house. And see if the interference changes at all.

                            This is because an AC to DC power supply needs to convert the alternating power supply to DC..
                            The unit will have capacitors on the internal power circuit to smooth any fluctuations like this.

                            As for your differing results, the only thing I can think of is if you've got the cord in view of the unit or something else influencing the data.
