My initial impressions of the Mevo+ was there was not much difference with using the metalic dot vs not using it... I want to correct the record on that. For driver the metalic dots are a must to get accurate spin rates. I don't see any real difference with my irons or wedges, but was doing some testing with different driver shafts recently and was not really seeing any spin changes between the three shafts I was using. During this testing I was not using any metalic dots. So for a test I tried some shots with the metalic dots and immediately noticed a huge difference between the three shafts. You also need to position the ball so that the metalic dot faces the screen for best results. I experimented with putting the dot facing me or facing away from me and got some strange results with shot shape and launch angles being low.
One other observation is I seem to get better results at 7ft Mevo+ to ball vs 8ft. Now instead of thinking the Mevo+ is reading my driver spin high, I sometimes wonder if it's actually reading it too low. I'll take it though and I'm seeing 15 - 20 yards more driver distance with the new shaft and metalic dot combo.
Hopefully this information helps some others who have complained about high driver spin. Make sure you use the dot and put the Mevo+ at 7ft or 7.5ft. Closer than the 8ft seems to be what gets me the best results. I'm using this at 12 degrees with E6 connect. This was also the case for FS Golf at 15 degrees for me, so either software option performed better using this approach.

Can't fool the radar unit. It's been good to keep the egos in check in our household. Also been good motivation for the kids to compete with each other. I will say I think the kids get more roll on the course vs what the Mevo+ reads, so total distance I think is a little short for them, but I think the carry numbers are really close.
