  • GC2 GSX & ProTee Inteface Setup for TGC and ProTee 2.0

Follow the steps below and in the next few post to initially connect your GC2 to GSX to ProTee Interface. Enjoy!

1: Connect your Bluetooth adapter to your pc's USB port using a USB extension cable. Run the cable into the sim room where the adapter will be as close to the GC2 as possible or within 6 ft of the GC2. After that, install the Bluetooth adapter driver that came in the package.

2: Turn on the GC2. From the right bottom corner of the Taskbar, click the up arrow to show all hidden icons. Select the Bluetooth icon and select Add Devices. See the screen shots below.

Had nothing to do with the GC2 or any of the software, I used the password sign in and for some reason Windows got lost on the log in. Popped up a frame that said "Oops something went wrong, unable to sign in." And it would not let me log onto my computer, I went ahead and have reloaded Windows 10 and for now all seems to be OK, but will wait til I am sure all the updates are in place before I start adding software, I also skipped the password sign in this go round.

  • What do i need to get to run tgc on my gc2 . . . like if i get TGC software do i need to purchase some additional software. Reading this thread there is mention of GSX and Pro tee software?
    Thanks for any help.

Both Protee golf interface and GSX will come with TGC. GSX grabs the data from the GC2 and sends it to Protee. Then Protee sends it on to TGC

      Thanks for the info

  • I've run into an issue I can't figure out. Like most, my bluetooth is on COM4. However, GSX only shows 1-3 (see attached). Anyone seen this before and have a solution?

Maybe I'm just being thick, but it won't scroll for me. I tried using arrow keys and the mouse. Is there a trick I am missing?

There’s a little tiny slider next to the main slider.

  • Hi all... I’ve had a GC2 for a while with creative sports 3D for several years but my laptop died and can’t find the original software. Anyways getting a new laptop and was looking into options and think I’m going with TGC. Sounds like I only need to purchase the TGC software and not the TGC/ProTee 2 combo. Is that correct? Thanks for any advice and happy new year!

Correct. Just purchase TGC. Everything you need is there.

Perfect... thanks for the quick response! Much appreciated!

    • So are you guys saying that if I own a GC2 and want to use E6 TruGolf, I need buy TGC first and then I need to buy E6? I went to see how much TGC costs and I found it for $975 on this site, but there is a warning that says:
      IMPORTANT:
1] This software is NOT compatible with Foresight GC2.

      What gives?

I also went to the E6 website and found that it costs $1,800.

So are you guys saying that even if I only want E6, I have to spend $975 on TGC and then another $1,800 on E6 for a total of $2,775 for both, when all I really want is E6? What about this message warning that TGC is not compatible with the GC2?

I think I will just stick with FSX for now. Pisses me off that Foresight refuses to play in the sandbox with the other kids. Seems like all of these simulator/launch monitor software and hardware companies go out of their way to integrate with each other, except for Foresight.

No you don’t need TGC to buy/run e6, they just use the same protee interface that runs in the background that collects the data and sends it to whatever software you are running e6, TGC, protee play...

The message is to cover themselves legally, it works fine.

You don’t need TGC, you need GSX and ProTee interface which together are the interface between E6 and the GC2. I’m pretty sure there is no other way to get E6 to work with a GC2. Foresight only wants you buying their software. GSX also comes with ProTee so just buy ProTee.

As I understand it you don't need to buy anything else other than the e6 software. The protee interface comes with it when you specify Protee as the sensor you'll be using with e6 (which has to be specified when you buy e6). Then all you need is GSX, which you can get for free from Protee Customer Support.

          That makes sense.

      • Thanks for the info. I was wondering how people would get this to work if you didn't buy something from Protee.

If you have a firewall turn it off and try again
I had this message and it was a firewall update, I had to add my TGC/protee to the exceptions list.

        • Using an external BT adapter with antenna, paired GC2 successfully, installed GSX 0.67.0, outgoing on Port 4, changed Protee interface IP to 127.0.0.1, set it up to Port 4, but it's not connecting. It's just giving me an error (connection refused). Did anyone experience the same as me?

I just tried turning on Protee interface where the screen says 'Please Enter Your License Key' and left that on. But still no luck...

And, I have the latest Windows update and I did unpair GC2 and re-paired it but still no luck. Restarted it and still no luck

Do you have a valid protee license key? Even a demo one? If not im doubting it will run.

        • Hi
i have followed all instructions and I just can’t seem to get my GC2 working with TGC and GSX. Would someone be willing for a $50 fee payable via PayPal be willing to spend 1 hour or what ever it takes to walk me through this via phone. I can send a photo of each step as we go along to validate I am doing this properly.
          thanks!

Are you sure the outgoing Com port of your GC2 matches the Com port in the GSX and TGC interface?

Have you talked to protee. I had major issue at first ones they said they never even saw before but after several attempts they got it to work. Can you post screen shots of gsx, TGC, and the interface here.

        • Folks on here can get you working. Just post up your question.

I just had a problem and by reading the installation instructions again I was able to get back up and running. (I had a computer upgrade and had to re-pair my GC2. First step in the instructions)

          • I upgraded from skytrak to GC2. I emailed protee in advance of my GC2 getting here to get a new TGC key for the GC2. I got an email back that simply says, change your license key in the TGC interface to this "new GC2 key". Then tells me to go to this thread and thats it.

I understand all the stuff about GSX and the protee interface... but WHERE do i get this protee interface?? I have the skytrak TGC interface, but not the protee interface....

After a ton of searching i came across A protee interface here https://csc.protee-united.com/hc/en-...-10d-available

I installed this, but now it wont let me proceed until i give it a protee license... which i dont have....

            What am i missing here?

The reason for the reply is legal mumbo jumbo. Anyway, the download link you got for TGC includes a bunch of options. Add GSX, ProTee Interface and TGC from the options. Follow the instructions here to an exact T. I’ve made sure they are current. It’s really not too difficult if you follow the steps.
