GC2 GSX & ProTee Inteface Setup for TGC and ProTee 2.0

Follow the steps below and in the next few post to initially connect your GC2 to GSX to ProTee Interface. Enjoy!

1: Connect your Bluetooth adapter to your pc's USB port using a USB extension cable. Run the cable into the sim room where the adapter will be as close to the GC2 as possible or within 6 ft of the GC2. After that, install the Bluetooth adapter driver that came in the package.

2: Turn on the GC2. From the right bottom corner of the Taskbar, click the up arrow to show all hidden icons. Select the Bluetooth icon and select Add Devices. See the screen shots below.






3: If your GC2 does not pair up automatically, click your GC2 device and select Pair. Then enter 0000 and click Next.

Good afternoon all, I have upgraded from Skytrak to GC2 on windows 10. I have had the TGC downloaded but just downloaded GSX and ProTee interface and cancelled the big download for TGC since I already had that up and running with my Skytrak. I have contacted ProTee and they have given me a new ProTee golf interface License as well as well as a new license key to activate in the TGC Dashboard.

Where I am stuck is between step 4 and 5 of the instructions because it says to open the ProTee interface which I can't get to because it is asking for the license key. Do I deactivate my SkyTrak license first and then try to add this license? The reason why I am asking is that I now have 2 new license keys for ProTee interface and 1 for the TGC... Are there any steps I need to follow exactly as I am getting a Sorry unable to connect when I enter in the license key for the ProTee.

I guess I am getting confused on adding these license key and deleting the existing one from my Skytrak.

So I was able to get past the license key issue but now I have a problem with my GC2 Bluetooth staying connected I can get it to be paired and it goes to connected for split second or 2 and then go back to paired any suggestions? I bought the Bluetooth adapter suggested in this forum and have the GC2 less than 3 feet away. Do I still need an extension dongle to get it connected? Also trying to figure out the GSX to get it to COM4 but that is the next step.

Open your Bluetooth settings com box, GSX and ProTee interface and I’ll tell you what’s wrong. It’ll look like what I posted. Or, PM me. Or, email me at mthunt@rogers.com

Hello, I can't get my GC2 Connected to Bluetooth for more than a second or 2 once on my computer it then goes back to paired and it wont stay "Connected".
I am trying to look into this as much as I can myself however running out of options. I went into the Foresight devices through BlueTooth and found BTHENUMBER - \Dev_1000E8C4BFE8\7&15bceec5&0&BluetoothDevice_100 0E8C4BFE8 requires further installation.

Since it says it requires further installation is that why it wont stay connected for more than a second? I am running out of options so anything helps!

It means your Bluetooth settings are wrong. Post the picture of your settings or call ProTee for help.

Can’t seem to add a picture, but found the Bluetooth settings under “Related Settings” / “More Bluetooth options”

Under COM Ports tab

Making progress!!

in FSX, when going into Settings (top right 3 lines), then Devices, I tried Filter....and lo and behold the Bluetooth circle was NOT checked in Connection type.
After Checking....FSX was able to find the GC2 via Bluetooth

...I then went back to GSX, and when sliding Connect Toggle in Status screen...finally it now says Connected on Status Input & Status Output.

Now need to test this out tomorrow and will report back if both FSX and TGC now work for me.....

Can anyone tell me how I know on TGC if it is connected to my GC2.....

I have tested GC2 and works fine with FSX on Bluetooth

I also now have Connected status on GSX on both Status input and Status Output.

But in TGC - I have tried hitting a ball, it registers on GC2 but nothing happens on TGC...not sure if connected and how I can test??

I think in the settings file tab where you see the status of connected, you have to select use The Golf Club or something along those lines

In my case, I bought TGC for Skytrak then upgraded to GC2 and transferred license. After upgrading to TGC2019 shots wouldn't register. Turns out that protee had given me a skytrak license key. Emailed support and they gave me a new license key. It fixed the problem.

Yes, transferred and validated new key.... although noted last night in the settings of TGCS, I can see user ID has [Skytrak] at the end. Have raised a trouble ticket with Protee...

Is there a reason you haven’t opened a ticket with ProTee? You’d sure save yourself a lot of posting.
