  • Foresight GC2 Mis-reads

Alright guys, first time posting. I’ve read through a number of other posts, but have had no luck.

Ive got a foresight GC2 s/n 31xx and have upgraded recently to newest firmware on foresight’s page.

My issue is that it seems like higher loft clubs read fine, but as I work lower (7-iron is first noticeable difference) my distances Become very inaccurate. I’ve had all of my carry distances verified by trackman at my coach’s shop, so I’m not crazy.

Ive tried recalibrating the unit before and after upgrading to newest firmware. I’ve replaced flash, I’ve tried adjusting which surface my gc2 is on when I hit balls and nothing seems to work. Even tried different colored golf balls. Still nothing.

I havent called foresight yet, but I’m getting close. Can anyone think of something else that I should try first?

    thanks so much.

Can you post some of your launch numbers for a short iron that reads fine and a longer one that doesn’t?

Im thinking gc2 is more accurate than trakman in indoor mode.

Did the issue happen after this?

Ball strike makes a big difference. Also, what type mat are you using ??

I understand ball strike makes a big difference, but when distances are consistently 50 yards off with Driver through 4 iron between trackman and my gc2 it makes you question it.

Ive got the country club elite matt

So your 7 iron is reading like what it reads for your wedge. 50 yds is a lot.

No I’m saying that it seems to be most evident on shots with less lofted clubs. Example: 4 iron on gc2 reading at 140-150 average carry vs trackman average carr was 200.6. 9 iron average carry on gc2 was 125-130 whereas on trackman over 10 balls was 141.6.

CCE mat kills distance for a lot of people. Stiil would not account for Driver but it is a factor for other clubs.

Is this LCD readings or from TGC? LCD is typically lower distances. Mine are about 7-10% off.

I’m considering just scraping the gc2 and getting a skytrak. You pretty happy with it? While the simulation option is nice I’m really more interested in getting accurate read outs and just essentially having an indoor driving range.
