I was wondering about my cce mat. Gonna do a head to head comparison tomorrow against the trackman on a different mat.
Foresight GC2 Mis-reads

How long have you been hitting indoors in your sim room? Indoor swing is real. I can’t be seen or felt. I was hitting outside on my patio then went into my garage that’s 10.5’ high and 14’ wide and 20’ long. Took 2-3 weeks of hitting balls regularly to regain my distances and that’s from someone that had spent months hitting into a net. If possible hit on it outside.
How large is the studio where the TM is?

Had my set up for about 4 years. Used primarily in winter months only since I live in Indiana. Area in my house is of similar size to your garage. Studio with TM is considerably bigger.

What were you using prior to the gc2?

If this gc2 used to read fine and then starting reading low, trying downgrading firmware to 3.10. See if it works. Then if it does upgrade it back to the latest. I have seen one instance of the opposite problem to yours. Guy upgraded firmware and gained 10-15 yards. Downgraded and it went away. Then upgraded and everything seemed better. Good luck

I would agree with stingreye. If your newer to the sim usage your numbers will be slightly off. At first indoors I would only hit a driver 180 yards indoors

I know you tried everything but did you tee up your irons and hit some shots. I know you said you changed surfaces so if you did then mat not the issue. Are you using the super flash. When I fist used mine the drive distance off and had some miss reads. I switched to a super flash and all fixed. Is your GC2 elevated?

I just upgraded from skytrak to GC2 and I have noticed my ballspeed numbers(except driver) are down about 5mph flat across the board.
On skytrak my 6iron average ball speed was 126, on my GC2 its 120-121. However, I did develop a rib injury(intercostal muscle strain) when I got the GC2. Im not sure if it was from hitting 6irons over and over trying to get my ballspeeds to match skytrak or what happened. So im still holding on hope that when I recover, the ballspeed will too.
My skytrak distances were spot on with real life as well.
Another interesting thing is I average 155ball speed with skytrak for driver, and also average 155ball speed with GC2. I know skytrak is underestimating my driver ball speed, as Ive been on flightscope and trackman outdoors at averaged 160-165mph. And there is a known issue with skytrak measuring low ball speeds on 150+... so this is more evidence that my GC2 is about 5mph slow across the board.
I did just order an HMT, so we when it gets here I will compare my SS and impact location to the ball speed numbers. If im getting 1.4 or less on middle strikes, then I can probably be sure that there is an issue with my GC2.

Stingray - always had the gc2 I’m currently working with and I’ll try the idea of downgrading. Thanks.
Sherrow - haven’t tried teeing up irons, but I will. No super flash. Have tried both elevated and with just built in legs directly on top of my mat.
Let me me know how the HMT goes jacked up.
Thanks for all all the posts guys. Really appreciate it.

Sounds like indoor swing sindrome to me. All my buddies struggle with this at my house. Short irons are spot on but they can’t hit driver more than 200. Same thing happens to me at the beginning of every sim season after playing outdoors all summer. Maybe get one of those inexpensive swing speed sensors to use as you compare your numbers both at home and with your coach?

This happens so often when someone gets a GC2. People says it’s broken or wrong. I only know of one instance where it wasn’t the player or the mat.My Courses:

Wow. I am pleasantly relived. Photos are coming. Just tested against trackman and it was considerably closer than expected6 Photos

Agreed on driver. Worst club in my bag by far. Half the time I don’t even carry it, but hopefully my coach gets that squared away.
And yes, I’m thinking that the one variable between today and my readouts at home is the mat
