I play TGC 2019 on my GCQ every night. I upgraded to club data on the quad today and it forced a firmware update. GCQ immediately stopped working with TGC 2019 after firmware update.
Workaround is to have FSX 2020 running at same time as TGC 2019, ProTee and connector application. Has worked fine since.
I completely believe the issue is related to firmware upgrade on the GCQ.
I have tested running both FSX 2020 and TGC 2019 at the same time and have had success with TGC 2019 after it stopped working. Played several rounds, rebooted - played several more.
i don’t believe it to be a Windows issue.

From what I'm hearing, you're right. People are up and running with FSX. If it did not work for someone it may be the order. Run ProTee and QSXQ then start FSX. Seems to be working. Obviously FS didn't like the GSXQOriginally posted by mlarson25 View PostI play TGC 2019 on my GCQ every night. I upgraded to club data on the quad today and it forced a firmware update. Yes, what I have found is that I start FSX, once that is loaded in, I start GSXQ, Pro Tee and TGC 2019 (in that order). FSX won't register the shots, but TGC 2019 will. If you stop GSXQ, Pro Tee and TGC 2019 - FSX will begin picking up the shots.Originally posted by mthunt View Post

I was so pissed when this stopped working I considered returning it to Costco.

and you get 2% back on the costco credit card plus 2% back on the membership. shipping is free but you do have to pay tax

This is pretty interesting. So by starting ProTee and GSQX first, GSQX must be getting a lock on the data stream. Foresight must have changed something in their firmware to make sure that at least FSX is running before the QCQ will actually send data to the stream. If that is the case -> big if, I am hypothesizing, THEN
I would strongly recommend that folks don’t upgrade / patch FSX. If I were Foresight, I would patch FSX to shut down automatically if FSX couldn’t get a resource lock on that stream.
Now maybe they don’t give a rip as long as someone has purchased the FSX license.
In summary, it almost sounds like Foresight is using FSX as a “software dongle” that is required to be running or the GCQ won’t send the data to the output stream.

That's actually relatively easy (an exaggeration but it's meant to say, it's doable) to overcome to someone who can get the hands on the GSQX code. Since this is not a firmware lock at the hardware level or encrypting of the data that's happening, GSQX can spoof the connection and pretend to be FSX. Someone knowledgeable on inspecting the WiFi packets can mirror what FSX is doing for the handshake between GCQ and FSX. I would need the code to begin looking at this though =\Originally posted by onehandicap View PostThis is pretty interesting.
