I got 1st place, Hack Friday day two!

I got lucky and hit a good shot( 2ft.3in) but didn’t think it would hold up considering the day before there was a hole in one and several under 2 ft. After I posted it was hard not to check the leaderboard and was just hoping for a top 3. When I woke up this morning to my surprise I was still in 1st place!
    Cheers,
    John

Congrats! Looks like I'm going to miss out on some free courses this time . Was hoping for a good showing for the 9 holes today but hit two in the water and that cost me. Oh well hopefully plenty more opportunities coming this holiday season. I assume when you win courses you get to pick them from the standard courses.

Thanks! You were in the running all 3 days for sure, I guess someone posted your same score today but earlier? For hitting two in the water it was still impressive, dang..
I had luck on my side because I couldn’t hit a green the day before. I blame food coma!

Im not sure yet if the pick is from just standard courses. I already have pebble beach but they weren’t too detailed in the contest, just the daily random drawing.

Hopefully I’ll find out during business hours tomorrow. I’m going to have to do some research and see what courses people here would recommend as well.

When I find out I’ll post what courses I have and get some suggestions on add one.

        Cheers

Well done! Interested to see what course you choose... what's your favorite course that you currently own?

Probably Pebble Beach, but because I grew up in Monterey. I don’t have much experience with the courses I have yet..

Thanks man, I’ll check out that list. Is that what came with the Costco package?

The Costco package came with around 30. I purchased the rest whenever they have those 3 for 1 deals. Also the Costco package doesn't come with club head data. So When I purchased that, I asked them to throw in some extra courses and they did.

That is awesome! Great job winning. Not sure if I can come up with 20 courses, but I'll come up with a bunch.

                I highly recommend:
Minot CC (thoroughly enjoy this course with sweeping elevation changes and crazy greens)

On my list (if I don't purchase E6 Connect): Couer d'Alene, Kingsbarns, Castle Stuart, Aronimink, Laurel Valley, Penn State Blue, Penn State White (only because I went to Penn State -- if you get only one, I'd go with Blue), Pete Dye River Course, and The Olympic Club.

I have Oakmont only because I have played there. I love it, but lots of folks think it is kind of boring. I like to refer to it as "my day of putting in fear and anxiety" as the green speeds were around 13 that day.

Thanks for the suggestions Gawifa! I didn’t know about penn state blue but it looks great so I’lll add that one to my list, and we have several that overlap like Couer and Kingsbarns, and Olympic club. I kinda want to get Oakmont, but not sure how much I’d play it

Are there and par 3 courses? And how’s that fantasy Saxe Gotha? It looks good visually with the mountains...

The Saxe Gotha course is pretty good, one of the more pretty ones and it plays well. If you don't have Glorietta that is another good fictional course. Close as we can get to something Augusta like - visually. The Longleaf course is a good one if you need a huge spread on tee lengths. It's a US Kids course but very good from the back tees as well. I really like the Maryland National that just came out. It really comes down to the type of courses you like. Based on your list I'd get Castle Stuart - one of my favorites. You can check them out at my site if you're not aware of it already.

Thanks mmlincon! Nice to have a little luck! And I’ve been going through some of your most viewed courses to get an idea of what people have been looking at the most...

Ok. Here’s my top 10 that I’ll probably get for sure. And then I’ll put my bottom 10 which I can only think of 6, well now 7 since you mentioned Castle Stuart.
Top 10 in no particular order...

                    1. Couer D’ Alene
                    2. Mission Hills Olazabel
                    3. Dorsal Blue Monster
                    4. Egypt Valley
                    5. Kingbarnes
                    6. Abu Dhabi. (They have another desert course, emirates but not sure which one to get)
                    7. Spring City Mountain Course
                    8. Penn State Blue
                    9. Ballyowen Golf club
                    10. Quarry at Giants Ridge

Bottom 10 so far and I need some suggestions. I’m not sure if Oakmont and Olympic are gonna stay..

                    11. Oakmont. (Golf History)
                    12. Olympic Club. (Golf History)
                    13. Saxe Gotha. ( Looks like an interesting fantasy course)
                    14. Marina Bay Golf club ( I don’t know anything about this course, just on bestseller page at foresight) ??
                    15. Heron Bay. ( I don’t know anything about this course, just on bestseller page at foresight) ??
                    16. Quail Hollow
                    17. Castle Stuart
                    18. Minot CC
                    19. Emirates golf club ??
                    20. Long leaf gc ??

I believe the "Pitch N Putt" course is the only Par 3 course on the list.

Don't forget Minot CC. It quickly became my favorite course out of all the ones I own.

Looks like a good list to me also. Yes that Minot CC also ended up being one of my favorites with all the slope changes. My next 3 courses I was looking to add are Doral Blue Monster, Congressional and Olympic Club. Glen Abbey is also another one I like.
