Hi, do you know of a thread on Discord where someone is suggesting they’ve got GC3 working with TGC 2019? I followed your link and signed up but I can’t find anything other than a few people asking the same question? Apologies if I’m missing something obvious but not used Discord before and it doesn’t seem very easy to find anything.

I tried this a number of different ways, could not get it to work? Maybe there is some other steps needed for this but I am not smart enough to figure it out.

Looking at the code this is trying to use the interface built for the software that must not be named here, piggybacking on top of that, and then rebroadcasting a signal that TGC can understand.

Is the problem in the 1st layer of the interface or the communication from the interface the TGC? Does the 1st layer show the correct ball data echoed out in the little GUI? FWIW I've never even tried this python script so I have no idea if it actually works or not.

I don't understand how these interfaces work? I can only follow directions. I don't think these instructions are complete if I'm right?. When I right click on listener.py and select open with python..... in python this is what it says in the command prompt window: (The distutils package is deprecated and slated for removal in Python 3.12. Use setuptools or check PEP 632 for potential alternatives from distutils.log import error)
Then I proceed to opening TGC and then other unmentionable Programs and I do get correct ball data out of those but see no data out of the gc3 adapter?

Can someone PM me a link to the TGC discord and just a general foresight discord if there is one? I'm convinced that the GC3 does capture face angle, but foresight is just preventing the number from being shown in the FSX interface. My unit used to show it before one of the initial firmware updates was pushed through.

When I first got my unit I putt with it first and noticed it was reading face angle, so I threw four dots on an iron to see what would happen and sure enough it returned face angle numbers. You can actually click through the data files and see the different metrics it captured from your session in a .txt. When I first got my unit you could see that next to the item called "face angle" in the .txt file it was returning an actual number. Now when I check the .txt file after a session the "face angle" spot gets filled with a long generic number - something like, .34042123, and it is the same every single time for every parameter that the GC3 isn't supposed to be able to read.

I don't don't know if the GC3 is capable of capturing things like closure rate and strike location without the fourth camera, but I have a funny feeling that 3 cameras taking pictures at 10,000 fps is more than enough to tell us what the face angle was at impact.

It would be interesting to see if someone could trick FSX into thinking their unit was a GCQuad to see what numbers it would return.

dinospumoni It is already being worked on. Not to "trick" FSX, but to cut it out completely and get the data directly from the unit. If it's there we'll be able to read it.

Has anyone tried this? I purchased the Launch Pro but I'm currently out of the country. If that code works, I can take it and make an easier to use service. I can also make a mobile app that holds more than 1 session like the current basic plan.
