Fsx Play?

I have seen a couple of videos about new FSX Play software being in the works. Has anyone heard anything about when they are expecting to release this? Looks like it would be a nice upgrade to fsx2020.

Does it seem like shot shape is much more pronounced in Play compared to 2020?
Fades and draws seem extreme in Play, much more mellow and controllable in 2020…..

My shots land where I think they should but that HORRIBLE Play chase/shot cam makes them look they curve more than they do.

Yeah, it's the way the follow cam works. You can't change it like you can in 2020...hopefully that is still to come.

So, what we have with Play is nicer graphics, lots of bugs, and about half the features of 2020. Surprise surprise, a Foresight software initiative does not go well.

You beta testers are doing the work of the angels.

At first I didn't understand what was happening in that image but, recalling my experience as a 3D game engine designer in the 1990s, I think that there is a severe slope rising from the green past the ball and behind the golfer. The camera ends up being positioned below the terrain mesh, so you can see the sky box below what should be the ground. simple fix, camPosY = terrainPolyFaceY at CamPos(x,z) +0.5 golferHeight.

Hi all,
I have been trying to install FSX play but when i come to input my user name, password and licence details i just get a "Server is taking time to respondhe request" message at the bottom. Has anybody else had this issue?

There is something that needs to be set in the registry or installed that the FSXPlay install doesn't do. I don't know exactly what it is(neither did Foresight) . Wireshark install does it. Hack work around I did is: install Wireshark, Activate FSXPlay, Uninstall Wireshark.

I was really interested in FSX Play, but as a non-tech savvy person, it sounds like I should wait for a while. Bless you early adopters for figuring all this stuff out and helping fix the bugs! Thx!

Interesting. Courses are up on line for download - will be interesting to see if there is an update soon as well. I'm glad they have Colonial updated. Maryland too.

Finally purchased FSX Play! cant wait to test it out tonight

Anyone got any tips on getting the FSX Play contrast and saturation look natural. I downloaded it and it started so dark and the color is all wrong. Played around with the sliders but nothing works

It would occasionally start really dark for me. Only thing that worked was to exit the program and restart for me.

Just downloaded fsx play. Obviously not ready for prime time.
Theres a lot of work that needs to be done to equal E6 connect in my opinion.

Really disappointed in FSX-play, This is early beta level software at best. Totally not ready for prime time. I hope we see new update releases soon.

So i see that for some reason when i have it on my laptop screen it’s dark, contrast and saturation is a mess but when i plug in my external monitor or projector the color of fine. WTH?

Hopefully the computer engineer that ported over Broken Tree to FSX Play does all the ports for all the courses. It’s amazing! The graphic on this one course are a million times better then the other I’ve see. It looks real! If they can port over all the new courses as well as this Broken Tree FSX Play will be the premier software. So much detail
