This spring my situation was left that they were updating the Firmware to fix the problem. If it didn't fix it they would take it back. After following up with them in Aug. I was told the fix was in the latest Firmware version. I downloaded version 1.6.0.72 a few weeks ago. Tried it out for maybe 20 shots and it missed some. Looking for the time to do more test shots and if it continues I'm done with it....... spent way too much time on this issue for it to be fun or useful to my game. Will advise.

Same problem here. The GC3 was fine last week but the latest firmware upgrade seems to have upset it. Waiting for support to help.

I've had the same problem. Mine is setup very well (like a Dicks GC2 sim room) in a space that I've used for years with SkyTrak (which is also Photometric) and have had very few missed shots. I've been through it all and the color of your shoes, socks or the carpet don't matter. There's something wrong with the unit.
I'd be very interested to know if the replacement GC3 solves the issue. So please post.
    Thanks for sharing your story.

Sometimes you have to move the ball around to get it to reset. I’ve noticed you will miss shots after taking a drop. If you move the ball around a bit and let the quad find it a couple different times before swinging that’s worked for me

Tested both w/ and w/o software, still doesnt register!

Concerning.... Do they have good warranty's on GC3?

At the end of that troubleshooting if you can’t find a reason, or find the reason but can’t change the environment, then you have a decision to make.
Yep - I take your point. Then it would have to be a total refund as its no good to me anywhere else!

Yes - I did check this as one troubleshooting step, but it wasnt even being picked up by GC3!
