    Some others are:
    • Direct / Indirect sunlight shining into cameras
    • Ball not in hitting zone
    • Ball "just in" on an edge - aim for center ice as much as possible
    • Using other than white golf balls
    • GC3 and Ball not on same level
Search for GCQuad missing shots - there are a few threads IIRC which went through this - usually folks (including myself) can figure out what the environmental factor was - for me, installing blinds on a window which was behind my hitting area resolved the mis-hits - I get virtually 100% reads now.

One other thought: have you confirmed that the shots aren't picked up by the GC3 rather than picking up and just not communicating with your PC/iPad? I used an aftermarket USB cable in the past and communication was spotty.

Well, it would confirm that the unit is not defective and indoor setup is the problem.
At the end of that troubleshooting if you can’t find a reason, or find the reason but can’t change the environment, then you have a decision to make.

One bricked within a week, the next bricked within a month. Both worked - and then just stopped powering on.

Yes - I did check this as one troubleshooting step, but it wasnt even being picked up by GC3!

Yep - I take your point. Then it would have to be a total refund as its no good to me anywhere else!

Concerning.... Do they have good warranty's on GC3?

Are you using FSX Play as your software? I don’t know if I’ve ever had my unit miss a shot to be honest.

I recently got a license for FSX Play and the software was missing a bunch of shots. The shots were still being read by my unit, but the shots weren’t being transmitted to the software and displayed by my computer.

Tested both w/ and w/o software, still doesnt register!

Sometimes you have to move the ball around to get it to reset. I’ve noticed you will miss shots after taking a drop. If you move the ball around a bit and let the quad find it a couple different times before swinging that’s worked for me

                      My quad hates yellow balls.

FYI the ultimate verdict was, it wasnt working and they're sending out a new one.

I've had the same problem. Mine is setup very well (like a Dicks GC2 sim room) in a space that I've used for years with SkyTrak (which is also Photometric) and have had very few missed shots. I've been through it all and the color of your shoes, socks or the carpet don't matter. There's something wrong with the unit.
I'd be very interested to know if the replacement GC3 solves the issue. So please post.
                        Thanks for sharing your story.

Same problem here. The GC3 was fine last week but the latest firmware upgrade seems to have upset it. Waiting for support to help.
