GC2/GSPro Setup Using USB Cable

Help!

Has anyone had the problem of mthunt 's interface not "seeing" the protee interface even though it's up and running? Thanks to MTHunt, his tool will connect to my gc2 via both BT and usb no problem. Unfortunately the 'easy' part doesn't work!! I've tried running as admin but that doesn't work either. It just endlessly keeps looking for the Protee inferface.

• I've got ProTee Interface 3.17g running
• GC2_to_TGC keeps asking "is ProTee interface open?" and won't recognize it
• Is there an updated version of the tool that works with 3.17g, or is there a known compatibility issue?

Any ideas? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?

It’s been a while but I believe your issue is the settings in ProTee interface. Here’s the instructions.

You need to make sure the right settings are on.

Thanks mthunt!!! a few surgeries took me out of Golf for a few years and now that I’m back I made the mistake of thinking that an upgraded PC and graphics card would be a GOOD idea … NOT! LOL

IT WORKED !!mthunt You are the man! I was having SUCH a frustrating time trying my old Bluetooth to GSX system …and it just wasn’t working due to some sort of modern versus old hardware glitch. Thanks to your tool and your help I’m back in business. Thx 🙏

Sorry to revive such an old thread, but I'm at my wits end and hoping someone here could be my miracle worker. Apologies if this gets long.

I've had a GC2 (no HMT) and GSPro (lifetime subscription) for almost 5 years with very few problems. A little while ago it started acting a bit odd - I'd open GSPro and the Simple Com connector wouldn't connect to the GC2. If I closed the connector and opened the whole software package again, it would connect, and I'd close the second instance of the main software. Then the last few days that stopped working, and I couldn't get it to connect at all. I removed the GC2 from my windows (10) bluetooth list and repaired it, which took a few tries, and then it worked for the evening. Now, yesterday/today, I can't get it to work at all, no matter what I do. I've unpaired/repaired. Rebooted the GC2 and the computer. Followed AI instructions for messing with com ports and device manager settings. Downloaded the old TGC-GC2 software from mthunt to try and connect that way, both with BT and USB (found an old USB A-MiniUSB cable, plugged it into the motherboard and the GC2, TGC-GC2 program would just give repeated "other error" when attempting USB connection. BT connect gave a different error, basically not finding the GC2). Reinstalled GSpro. Nothing has worked...the LM connector software will connect to the game, but gets nothing from the GC2. I can connect the GC2 to my ipad with the foresight free software on it, and it transmits data, so I know the LM isn't totally messed up...but I can't get it to connect on the PC.

Any help would be enormously appreciated. I'm in the GTA as I know some of the others here are, and would happily meet up if that's helpful as well.

Question. Does the iPad work flawlessly? If no, the Bluetooth could be bad. Did ypu install the file to make the interface work? I think it was an MSI file.

Thank you for replying! So, i wouldn't say the ipad works flawlessly, as sometimes the bluetooth doesn't show, but when it shows and I connect it i can hit shots for an hour and not see any drops. But there is definitely a possibility that the gC2 BT is not 100%. As for TGC-GC2, I believe I installed the MSI, yes. I can open the app, and teh GUI comes up as well as the CLI asking if protee is open. I can scan for GC2s and it shows mine, but when I click "connect bluetooth" and allow the btpair.exe to run, it tries to connect over and over but returns Could not connect to GC2: A socket operation was attempted to an unreachable network, thene vetually says Could not connect to GC2: A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond.

All my various tests (using this, GSPro, PuTTy, and Schogolf) seem to fail because it cant' read anything on the com port. MAybe I need to update to windows 11 and see fi that fixes the com port issue?

And now the BT on the GC@ seems to be totally dead. So I guess I'm getting a new LM and then will try to solve my issues after that, if it doens't work! Any recommendations? Club and ball data, gspro connection, good accuracy, camera based, and I have a low overhead (about 8'9").
