I've got a few questions about Protee 2.0 with GC2.
1- I read a comment in this thread by ZMAX and protee doesn't use the GC2's carry numbers. Can you elaborate?
2- What comes with the software? A range and golf course play with all courses? Any special target practices or other features?
3- Is there a link where I can download this right now and acquire a license thereafter?
4- To those who have used it already, can you try and hit a huge slice or hook and see what happens? Is it accurate with the GC2 and Protee software?
Hoping to play with you by next weekend. I think I should have my hardware mid next week or so.

Yes. You will also have the GSX application that goes along with it so the GC2 numbers integrates with the Protee software. It has its own sliders so you can adjust the lie penalties for the rough, deep rough, bunkers, iron distance, wood distance, putting speed, etc. Takes about an hour or so to hit some balls on the range to dial in your ball distance. You will also want to play some practice rounds on the course so you can get used to hitting out of the bunkers. SFR and I can share what we have the settings at for what we believe to be realistic play. Be glad to help you out if you have any questions in getting it to work.

thats a good idea. We will get together and do that.
My club distances are bit off from his due to some shorter distances I am experiencing. The bunkers, rough penalties, putting speed, are pretty much on for both of us though. We compared when we played together the other night.

The GC2's calculated carry will sometimes not match up with the RC(both Protee and Foresight) simulated carry. The carry slider adjustments are there if you need them. If you do use them, you will have to make sure the right kind of club is selected in the game. i.e. select a wood in the game if you had adjusted the carry on a wood.Originally posted by "Rick" post=1202When you say adjust the sliders, i'm a bit confused. Do you actually set anything for irons and woods? I can see having to set the rough and lies and all that, but I really don't want to have to set anything else. It doesn't work straight up?
If you don't use the adjustments, then nothing to worry about.

Rick, its no different than what I had to do with the GC2 software. I set the distance boost to 1.1. The GSX slider allows you to do the same exact thing. Its there if you think you need it. Try some shots out. If you know your distances well, it should be a very small task if at all.
