I can't really comment on Prairie and Kingsbarn as I haven't played them. Generally, I don't go too often for links courses. Nine Lakes is awesome!! Beautiful Florida course and very challenging. Real name is Loxahatchie I think, so you can google it. Tons of water. Quarry @ Giant's Ridge is a favorite of one of my friends as he has played there and loves it. He said it is very well done as far as replicating the course. I thoroughly enjoy playing it as well. I think you would get a great representation of courses with Pelican, Merion, Flint Hills, Nine Lakes & Quarry. That would be my choices. Flint has some holes where it plays kind of like a links course, but it is very well done and one of my top 5.

It definitely is not on the 2016 course catalog. They can tell you if they still sell it or not.

Interlachen is a very good course. It is one of the originals and probably did receive some updates. Seeing some of the new ones I would say I am very impressed with Hazeltine and Butterfield the most so far. I don't think you could go wrong with Interlachen, Hazeltine, or Butterfield. They are all very good choices. I got to say Hazeltine would be my choice if I had to play one right now though.

So maybe I go with Pellican, Merion, Flint Hills, Prairie Dunes and Hazeltine. Seams like a good mix. I also wondered if that trump course blue monster or the Emirates one would've cool. I guess I can always add them for $150/each. Is that correct?

That's msrp list price and like everything else around here with sim equipment, don't pay the list price..
Reminds me of Martin guitars and minimum advertised prices , (map). Then there's dealers who sell for 40% off list..Last edited by fortysixandtwo; 03-18-2016, 01:37 PM.

So after a week and 40 posts I finalized my courses. Thanks everyone especially Col. I chose Merion, Pellican, Flint Hills, Hazeltine, prairie Dunes and then added Blue Monster snd Emirates for an extra $270. I also get Teton Pines for free with FSX. 8 courses should keep me plenty busy especially since I plan on playing real golf for the next 6 months.Last edited by RCorsa; 03-19-2016, 04:22 AM.

You will be happy with those choices. It should give you a good variety of course types. Let me know how prairie dunes is as I haven't played it. It is always in the top 100 courses though!
