It might just be a matter of creating the com port and using that port in GSX. Input is GC2 com port and output is the IP address of your sim PC to connect to Protee 2.0.

Hey guys,
I validated that I am connected via Bluetooth, even though the windows bluetooth device manager isn't stating it's connected. Now I just have to figure out the settings to get it to read the shot data. I'll contact ProTee support for help. HW, thanks for volunteering to help me out! I'm glad I didn't have to waste any of your time with this.

HW, I'll install Team Viewer this evening when I'm home, and ping you here if you're around. Thanks!

GSF_admin, Thanks for the PM. For some reason I can't respond to your PM, so here is my response:
Ok GSF thanks for the message! Your response highlights a couple of things:
1 - Whenever I try to connect via the Bluetooth settings via the system tray, it simply opens up the Bluetooth Devices screen. I can't seem to try to connect any other way.
2 - When I try to connect to the GC2, the computer produces a pass code number that it sends to the GC2 to supposedly validate. I never have an opportunity to enter a code on my computer.
3 - I have seen the COM ports for the GC2 in those same Bluetooth settings dialog box. I just have no way to figure out if it's actively connected, because like you mentioned, in the Bluetooth devices sceeen, it says connected for a minute and then says Not connected or disappears altogether.
Thanks for your help!

JV, install TeamViewer Full version on the computer in question and I can login and give you a hand if you want. Login to the chat here as well.

I know I need to schedule time with ProTee support to help with my setup, but I'd just like to confirm that I have Bluetooth connectivity first. I don't want to waste their time if I'm not even connecting to the GC2 and need to get yet another adapter. Thanks.

Sounds like you need remote support. Hoganwoods might be able to help you later.

Hey guys.... I'm on my 4th Bluetooth adapter and still no success connecting the GC2 to the computer. This makes me think that even though the computer seems to say it's not connected shortly after confirming it has connected, it's really still connected. Where would I look to see if the signal is actually being received by Protee. I can't figure out where to designate COM settings and how to get it to look for GC2 data coming in. Is this something I would find in the interface application? Thanks.

I also found the driver boost at 7 to be very close. Everything else was at 0. New GC2/ProTee guys should be able to use the settings posted in the first post of this thread and have a pretty accurate simulation.

Did a quick few swings and you are right that the iron settings will still lack in carry when a driver is used. Some were coming out fine but most were low. The driver boost at 7 would seem close like you said. I had it at 10 and they were mostly comming out a few yards too long compared to the GC2 readout.

Yes, for sure in the past (last years version), it seemed that when a driver was selected and you hit driver, the GC2 could show a 250 yd carry but protee only gave 230 to 240 carry(seemed always too low). But selecting an iron and hitting a driver you seemed to get a lot closer to the right carry. I have not had the 5.5 version running long enough to test the same again but I will test for sure again.
And again it may all come down to the spin rate on the drive like we have talked about.

I think too much added backspin might not show the draw or slice as much and may not be as accurate so this is why I am using my iron settings and just hitting driver and woods with those settings. I have not played much with this last update so others can help with input here.
One thing I have found and for others to know is that the numbers are not a % increase. Bumping them up 10 on distance does not give 10% extra carry but is more like 3 or 4 % or about.
Also hitting mats make a huge difference and you can loose a lot of ball speed due to hitting the mat and it grabbing the club, so try to test out hitting mats to find what works.
One thing I dont understand when you say you are using "iron settings" to hit your driver, if that's true then aren't you simply hitting driver with 0 +carry (or 3-4 as you've said) and 0 +backspin? If that works then just set your driver that way. I'm not 100% sure but I don't think the game does anything special with the "driver" label so it shouldn't make a difference. Unless you are referring to your old GSX settings from last year. As for hitting mats, if you hit the ball clean it shouldn't matter. If you are hitting it fat, then ya sure, you will lose speed but you should be, you mishit it.
