So, I was checking out the PP site and found this:

I am not sure if this is the right place to put this, but WOW. Can you imagine if this engine made it into a simulator?

Wow! Awesome graphics. It's available for the pc, so no reason why it can't be converted for simulator use. Just need to talk to the developer.

When I saw that it would be out on the PC, I was hoping that would be the case. I watched the video and dialed up the HD mode, and it knocked my socks off. Really stunning.

No matter who the developer is, or what interface you use, that is the feeling I want when I am standing there in front of the screen. Graphics like that are sexy and make you want to play. I guess the trick is to marry amazing graphics with an accurate interface.

Wow, love those graphics. Sign me up! Looks like they are a Canadian company (EA affiliated?) They are probably located in Ontario, Bubba?

The course designer looks very easy to use but I wonder if it will be intricate enough to accurately design real courses with great accuracy and detail. Looks surreal. Great find, John,

omg- the course creator that comes with the game is phenomenal!
They are on the right track for cross platform gaming- I hope they succeed.

Would be great to use on a simulator... I dont know what that would take though to port it over..

I just read the article you linked to at gamesided. I think I love what they are doing. If this could be converted to sim use, it would be amazing. The course creator looks fantastic.

To be perfectly honest, I'll buy it in any case.

Ive been playing golf computer games all the way back to jack nicklaus golf on the amiga-
then jack 6 for PC--- great online experience- then I jumped to Tiger woods--- 04/06 and 08 and thats where they stopped making it for the pc - course creation/online play and in the tw series the ability to use a track ball were the big selling points for me. obviously- I was trying to get the closest thing to having a simulator as i could-- :P

any of you guys ever play jack Nicklaus 6 back in the day- a large group of us actually met up for some 3 day golf weekends in Tennessee and Canada...
this new offering 'the golf club' is impressive.

I've never played Jack 6, but did play all of the Links game going way back to beginning with World class leaderboard, Links, and Links386.

Did play Links online and even participated in the Links ladder. Boy, I feel old now...

Well I remember the days of Links golf as well. I really liked the power stroke method of playing. Hence my nickname PS ace. I liked the way you played your round on your computer then when you finished the 18th hole, your score was automatically recorded on the website. There were no mulligans. I think more people might play in tournaments here if they didn't have to play online with someone else all the time. A game wouldn't take so much time and time zones wouldn't affect some players looking for partners to play with. I guess the option to do either would be beneficial to some players?

Ya that would be great Brent. You could have assigned tournament rounds for each week and once you start one, it counts and is recorded. The admin could set the game mode/options before he assigns the rounds to people.

I'd still want online play though, its fun playing with others.
