Skytrak and TGC - Joining the tour?

So a friend of mine told me that he was having problems joining the TGC tour. He has a Skytrak as his simulator. He emailed support and they told him that their tours didn't publish to the Skytrak servers. Does this mean that you can't join the TGC Tour if you're using a Skytrak? Are there different tours? He said he followed all the instructions to join and got an email saying he had been accepted to Q School but then couldn't find the TGC Tours section (that leads to Q School).

Any thoughts or ideas? Thanks.

There are many of us lowly Skytrak users hacking away weekly in the TGC tourneys. I'm not going to attempt to falsely walk you through the steps but betting keither5150 will show up soon and get you and your buddy on the right track.

Here is some light reading to get you going. Also check out the tour website. After setting up shot recording, you will be able to find yourself on the tour website. Take a few shots and they should show up in your profile on the tour site.

After purchasing TGC and setting up your profile, you can start playing on the tour.

SET UP YOUR PROFILE!!! I thought I did everything, but didn't realize there is a section of the profile specifically for the TGC tour, which you have to have your user ID pasted into.

In other words, read what keither5150 posted CAREFULLY and you should have no issues!

One thing I discovered is when you are searching for a tournament, select "Play Tournament" and not "Play Tour" (I don't think I understand what Play Tour really means. LOL). When you get to the course selection screen, make sure you set it to "Public" and then do your search. You should find the tournament with ease then.

Play Tour is multiple rounds at different courses. Play tournament is multiple rounds at the same course.

Welcome to the tour guys. On the main page of the forum website there is a category called Online Play. There is plenty of good info in there.

Is there a time frame on when to expect to see your name under "Tour Players"? Followed the directions for shot recording but do not see name showing up yet.

Double check that all of the steps were followed. It should show up almost instantly. Send ProTee a message if it still doesn't work after double checking.

You need to play a round to get you listed, otherwise the system does not recognize you as a tour player. Play Q-School or a live event.
