Help - lost icon to start TGC

You should really not mess around with EXE files. I recommend to use the installer and just re-install the interface (not TGC). This will install the correct files AND create the shortcuts without overwriting your license or settings.

OK - it has been a long time how do I start the installer?

just to make it clear - I lost the icon (shortcut) on my desktop

OK, ran the installer and have the interface icon back. However, my machineID is there but license is gone so is name and email. I started the other TGC icon, where you store your friends and tried to cut and past license from there but cannot.

Then it was not just the icon that was missing, but the complete program including registration details. PM me that license key from the other program.

I sent it. I used the skytrak software (not the most recent one) and I think it wiped everything out - not sure why it would do this, but pretty sure the icon was there before I used the skytrak software and it was there yesterday.

I choose No on the upgrade to the skytrak software and installed the older tgcsetup just now

Just sent PM with new key. Maybe your antivirus did not like it. Check your antivirus and/or windows defender logs.

Just noticed this: http://golfsimulatorforum.com/forum/...released/page7 post #95. Are you running Norton Antivirus? Could be related. Maybe a False Positive.

could be - I do have it. However, I have had it running for a long time now and the update occurred on Friday and I have played since then, but it does seem to make sense. Well, have the skytrak connected and have the red laser dot...so thanks for the quick responses and correct ones.

Hi all, I have the same issue. Lost the icon to star the sim, I only have the console. I found the setup file and run the repair, but nothing. Is there a list of actions to follow to fix this?
