i installed the straight putting patch and loved it. The I installed the patch that allows adjustment of green speed and stump etc and adjusted that to more closely match the courses I play IRL. Now the straight putting doesn't work. It says it is on in settings. But I consistently today was getting mostly right 3 degrees. Did the second patch screw up the first one some way? I have Skytrak.

This is what your settings should look like when the putting straight is set to ON.

    Show Club Data=ON
    Putting Straight=ON

    [Course Configuration]
    Green Stimp=7
    Green Firmness=2
    Green Speed=3

    [TGC Online]
    Shot Recording=OFF
    User Name=John Doe
    User ID=1234-ABCD-5678-DEFG-9012

    [Skytrak]

Since the putting patch was released after the green speed patch, you should probably apply it last/again just to be safe, if the settings file looks good as per above.

Ok, it's fixed. I shut down the computer and reinstalled the 3.0.2 patch and it took it this time. All is working now. Thanks for responses.

Patch 3.02 must be installed for this to work. If you installed 3.02 first it will add the the line to the settings file. When 3.01 is installed later, the line will stay but TGC will not read and use it.

For us TGC users but sporadic forum readers, did I miss a new SDK release? I didn't receive an email regarding any new updates-are updates announced here instead of being contacted via email from ProTee?

ProTee I see that the settings on here directs the speed of the green etc, I have been trying to play and the greens seem to have black ice on them - what do the setting numbers mean? Also every time I try to play it seems that it registers only about half of the shots no matter where I put the ball. I seems to get worse when no teeing up.

Check your back spin numbers. If these are too low the ball will not bite at all.

To be more accurate the monitor does not register the ball after hitting it in many cases. I have had the red dot bouncing off the ball, ball set just behind (to the right of the dot looking at it), in front of it (between the red dot and myself) and still only a few will register. Really need some help.

If you are capturing shots better on a tee, then my guess is that the unit is too high. The bottom should be sitting on, or at the same level of, the top of the mat. Next, the ball goes ON the red laser dot. If you are teeing the ball up, your tee goes "into" the red dot. See if either of those help.

Are you waggling the club at all? If so, the red light might be going out and you're swinging before it's armed again.

I am not waggling but it could be that the unit is too high.
