  • TGC won't load course - help please if possible

    So I've been a TGC user pretty much from day 1. I know how to use the software no problem. I was hitting some balls on one of the Protee ranges. After warming up and ready to play, I tried to load a course to play. I couldn't get any courses to load... and this was just after loading one of the Protee ranges no problem.

    I tried restarting TGC, restarting my computer, going offline on TGC and back to online, tried restarting the server on TGC. Tried restarting my computer and router. I even ran the software tool to see if my computer was communicating with the TGC server. All works. Yet after clicking "play round", and the course list shows up, when I click on a course or hit enter... I get nothing.

    Any ideas before I submit a help ticket?

    This has been happening to me a lot. I click on the course and get the error message and do I want to retry. I sometimes have to hit "retry" 3 or 4 times then it loads......not sure what is going on.

        Maybe. Tried again this morning and it works. Happens occasionally to me that I have to click the course a few times before anything happens.

        I don't get any error message or anything... nothing happens. I can click the course name 10 times and nothing. But if works now so hopefully that's what it was.

          It's an internet issue. It could be their server or course downloads. When you click the course name it can take a bit for the bigger courses.

            I have noticed this happening alot lately too. Has got to be something with the server. Most times after waiting for a few minutes, and when it still doesn't load, i will restart TGC. Seems to help sometimes, although it could just be a coincidence too.

                  ProTee United what would be acceptable numbers on the ping and jitter test(sorry not an IT guy and I don't even know what jitter is)? I am having issues connecting. I keep getting a popup when i try to go online saying only offline courses available. It also appears my historical data is no longer there...ie it doesn't recognize me. This only happened after I installed the R-motion version of TGC. I do have the full license for skytrak. So trying to narrow down the culprit

                    ProTee United I have been using the ST+Rmotion interface without an issue for about a week. However, I think the problem occurred last night(probaly user error and a self inflicted wound) when I wanted to give the R-motion app a whirl without the skytrak to try to work on the alignment issue with the dongle I was having. I went in the Rmotion app and clicked the get license. It then said I was good to go. After I did that I decided not to go that route and decided I wanted to play a round with the skytrak being the determinate of the flight data. So I went into the ST+Rmotion interace and that is when I got the error it wouldn't connect. I went to look at the license tab within that ST+Rmotion interface and it is blank as was the username and PW. I updated the username and PW. The machine ID is there. I tried clicking in the license area thinking I just needed to reenter it, but it won't let me click in the box to enter it. The only option I have is click deregister license(I don't have it in front of me at the moment. Going off memory, but it is the button below the license box). I am not sure what would happen if I deregister. I don't want to mess up the license I have so I didn't follow through with that since i wasn't sure if there were any downstream impacts. Should I deregister the license and see if I can reenter my full license or just reinstall the ST+Rmotion system and go from there?

                    Deactivate the license (deactivate button) in the TGC for SkyTrak interface and activate the license key again.
