Let us know how the ideal scramble mode should work in TCG 2019. Rules, gameplay, setup, all the nitty gritty details so we can get an idea of what needs to be done to get this implemented at some point.

Would be great to have a scramble mode that can vary with team size, either teams of 2, 3, or 4. It might be hard to get a group of 8 to play to have 2 teams of 4, but much easier to get 4 or 6 people to play together. I can even imagine tour scramble tournaments but that would take some organization to get people on a team to play at the same time. I'm sure the community would love to have a scramble mode, especially for families! I can imagine playing with my family which would be enjoyable. Thanks. -
2 vs 2 and 4 vs 4 (4 vs 4 may take a long time) For online play I think that 2 vs 2 would be the only practical one. Try to find 8 guys at the same time that have 4 hours to kill, this will probably never happen. Perhaps you can have a 4 man team..... only play 4, one a hole at once, just like IRL.
I see the rules like this. After team members take their shots, TGC will suggest the most likely next shot. This can be based on closest to the hole. If both shots are similar distance, you can have lie as the tie breaker..... Fairway beats rough, rough beats heavy rough etc. Of course you would have to have a player override...…. Accept this lie???? Yes/No It would be best to have only one player accepting the lie.....a team captain??? . If you select no, you would be shown the next best shot.... select no again and you will be shown the first shot again ( two man) Before selecting Yes/No, the players will need the ability to look at the lies....press Q etc. especially on the green. Sometimes a longer putt will be easier than one that breaks a mile. While waiting for a player to take a shot, it would be great if the other players can line up their shots. Once the player takes a shot, The other players will then be shown the shot. Not having to wait with a dead keyboard would be good.Comment

I think the ideal setup would be:
- allow 2, 3 or 4 player teams
- be able to play against other teams in tournaments
- after all shots are played, display the distance to the hole and lie for each player in a list and allow one person to choose which shot to take
- it would be fantastic to be able to do this in multiplayer and not just localComment

Being able to do this online would open a lot of cool possibilities with the online tourney too and encourage people to use the discord channel.
For me had a lot of fun playing with fellow sim golfers on tgc, but time commitment was too long. Also manually adding rivals made it tedious and again took 15 to 20 min just to get the game setup was a barrier.
Anything that would speed up rate of play either through setting game up or during the game would be huge for me.

A scramble mode would be awesome. It allows more casual golfers to enjoy the game as well. I might also include the ability to select different tee boxes for the different players.Comment

My main desire in having scramble mode is completing the course as quickly as possible with people over and involve the beginners in a stress free way for them.
Could give option at beginning set up of scramble with versus teams versus full coop. Make it flexible so you could do 1 on 3 for instance so the handicappers versus the scratch golfer. Another option in the set-up scramble menu is auto pick the ball closest to the hole versus manual pick the spot.
I can easily see how auto picking could pick the ball right behind a tree but main thing for scramble to me is speed golf with friends who are newbies to the sim world.

1 on 2 would work out great. This way my 6 year old could play on my team when I have someone else over. It would also be great to be able to delete a player during the round if someone on a team has to leave or gets tired of playing (6 year old). I haven't tried the golf club yet but will order it once 2019 is available.

My most important requirement for scramble (and other modes) would be supporting more players. I had a couple times i had 5 friends over and we had to take turns (or set up three players and play alt shot). It would be great if TGC 2019 would allow more players to be added. So, in this case, six players on scramble either playing as three teams of two or two teams of three ideally.Comment

I never thought of the scramble mode before as important but after reading over the months from you guys it definitely looks like a strong point for inclusiveness and getting this scene even more family and more social.Comment

I'd like to see Scramble added as a match play game. So, you could play 2 man scramble against another 2 man scramble team.
Or, could even work with odd number of players. 2 man scramble team vs a single player.Comment

A local and online 2 ball and 4 ball mode. 2 people able to play from different tees, select best shot and go from there. Same for 4 ball. 4 people same deal.
this would add alot for us with wives and kids that occasionally play as well as grow the online community and perhaps even get some tournaments going on a regular basis on the site.

What about something like “Best Ball”?? This may already be a part of the game and I don’t know it but I am thinking a game where I could play with my wife and kids and we all hit the ball from the same spot. We proceed by hitting from wherever the best shot was and keep proceeding through a round like that. make it similar to e6 where you can have up to 4 teams and play with either teams of 1, 2, 3, or 4 so if you have 5 people you can either have 3 teams with 1 player by themselves against 2 teams of 2 or you can play a 3 against 2 match. Up to 8 players would be great.

Don’t complicate it too much
Memers playing 2 vs 2 4 vs 4 each hit their shot After the shit distance to pin us shown for each shot. Team selects the shot to be taken.
I use JNPG also and they have a great scramble option. It’s thd only way to play if you have a number of players and want to play quickly.Comment
