I love the longer ball streak, and the unplayable lie option is clutch. The cart path looks great too. Nice upgrades! Driving range next? 😃

I agree, longer ball streak is better. As far as the range feature. I submitted a request to Protee a few days ago or a very basic "Auto Rewind" or Practice mode if its going to take time to get something more involved with tracking shots. Just being able to put it in to practice mode and hit shots over and over without going to the computer would be a big improvement.

For me personaly, I would prefer being able to choose any hole and drop a ball anywhere before multiple shot tracking was implemented if this was going to done in stages.

JS... I agree, an auto rewind would be a decent short term solution, and provide a step in approach for a future legit driving range.

Auto Rewind is on our todo list. No ETA.

On the topic of "auto-rewind", I like the improvements to TGC, but one area that became a bit of a stumbling block when I was encountering frequent mis-reads of shots, was being able to "rewind" and re-hit the shot after the ball went into a hazard. I was given the option of taking a drop near the hazard, or back at the spot of the original shot. I chose the drop at the original shot location since that is where the mis-read occurred. But, I could not "rewind" the shot to repeat the shot without strokes being recorded on my card. Please allow for a "rewind" even in the case of balls going into hazards, etc.

              aja,
We are using 3 ProTee sims at our indoor center. We quickly noticed this as well. However what you need to do is take the drop AND then rewind. However, this will bring you back TWO shots. So for example.. You hit your tee ball, your second one goes into the water on a mis-read of course, (hehe) hit rewind.. it brings you back to your TEE shots, not the shot from the fairway. I emailed ProTee about this already so I am sure they are looking into it.

Also, here is a real odd one. We were playing two people, hit a ball off a tee shot into a hazard, dropped and hit rewind. It brought me back to the previous hole! The other person who had already hit on that hole also had to replay his shot from the previous hole. Once back to the correct hole, I had to hit, and he had to hit rewind on his shot. So there is something wrong there, no doubt about that. I'm sure it is just a matter of time before it is fixed.

OK - so that's what happened! I also took the drop and then did a rewind, but as you pointed out, the rewind took me back 2 shots. A little bit of confusion for sure.

They are looking into this. The auto rewind is on the list.

Thanks for sharing that Chris. I have come across this once and I Thought it was just a weird one time glitch. The 2 player issue is definitely a problem!

My emails from protee about tgc updates seem to get flagged as spam. You may want to check that - otherwise email protee. I am sure they will resend a link to download 2.6.

I have not been able to check out the new 2.6 yet.

In the PC steam version there was one point where drops for water hazards seemed to work right, finally, where you were not placed back on the tee but rather where you went into the water. Since then a couple more updates on steam took place to fix some other issues and now those same shots into water are making you go back to the tee again.

Has anyone noticed if this is working in 2.6 version?

Or are you still put back onto the tee when hitting some water areas. It had been a bit hit and miss where once and a while you would drop where you went in but not all the time.

I used 2.6 a few times and when I went in the water hazard it let me drop by the water and not have to go back to the tee

Same here... When I went into the water on 2.6, it set me up for a drop by the water... Not back at the tee.

I just tried a shot on the "world tour par 3 protee" on the first hole and hit a few into the water beside or over the green. All times it put me back on the tee. This is similar to past versions where some courses with water hazards will drop you beside where you entered the water and some will drop you back on the tee.

No idea why some work right and some not but until they all work correct I am wondering if anything has been done to change this yet?
