TGC feels too "zoomed in" to be comfortable for me. Maybe my screen is too big or I'm too close. Anyway i found a way to adjust the FOV to something much better but it only lasts for one shot. Is there a way to adjust the FOV permanently, or at least for an entire round, rather than for only one shot?

Field of view adjustable in TGC?

The camera will move forward (ball out of view), so this will not help you a lot. Resolution / aspect ratio change might help. See differences here: http://golfsimulatorforum.com/forum/...oftware/page36

In sims we recommend to stand at least 10' / 3m away from the screen.

ProTee - will there be some kind of intelligence built into this so the camera doesn't shift forward when putting? Or will it be a setting that always applies so if you are putting you won't see the break in front of the ball and you'll have to move the view out to check that?

Okay, I've tried everything but nothing overcomes the fact it is simply the wrong FOV for my eyes. Hopefully this will be addressed in the future. TGC seems to have the latent capability so, with luck, maybe not too difficult.
Apparently the optimum fov is typically different for console, PC and projector based versions (screen sizes and distances) so I was hoping it existed somewhere...even if undocumented since it is a cross platform game.

The whole area of tailoring the sim to its environment and operator is personal preference. Screen offsets for ball launch, distance to screen calibration, fov adjustments, camera views etc. These are sim specific features that gamers don't care about so it remains to be seen how much pull we have from the sim side. We pay way much more so hopefully it translates into something concrete for us. I don't really know how that part works between Protee and HB.
