  • Can I putt on my own green with this software?

I am looking to purchase this software for my simulator but want to putt anything under 10 feet on my own putting green. Is there an option on the game that makes this possible? Even if its a long gimmie or pickup..thanks

There's auto putting but if you're on the green putting for birdie, it'll give you a par. You can't putt on your green and enter how many putts you had.

You should suck it up and putt in the sim. The technology is better now.

E6 lets you enter number of putts. But TGC is vastly superior in every other way!

A possible work around would be to set GIMME to ON GREEN. When the ball lands on the green it will end the hole (skip putting) and add 2 strokes (always no matter what distance to the flag).
You get 2 strokes, but you can putt of your green...

I wouldn't get too hung up on using your own putting surface. Most users would agree that once you get the hang of putting on TGC, it's as close as you can get to reproducing putting (on a sim).

The greens in the game are all different due to the contours chosen by the designers. If you just putt on your own surface, there is no way to match up with what the game is offering, which is variety, and different challenges.

Hey Focker, PM me about putting. GSA is great for putting once you set it up. I was reluctant to do so and even disappointed that I had to...... for joining the tour. Now I can say that this has really helped my stroke. My putting area is about 20 inches ahead of my tee. The area is 11 feet long ( to the screen). It is flat and I have marked out with tape..... what is straight. If you have a CX2 setting up putting is easy and very accurate.

You can also set the distances for both a 1 putt gimme and 2 putt gimme in the settings so that it can be more realistic if you don't want to putt. Sadly for me realistic would mostly be a 3 putt .

The problem is I can't seem to figure it out I see those settings and I love settings. Okay explicitly what do I set on the + 1 + + 2 for 10 ft gimme

I believe if you set the gimme setting to distance and change the +1 to either 3 yards or 4 yards you should get a 1 putt gimme for anything inside either 9 or 12 feet. I don't think you can set it to a fractional yard to get exactly 10 feet. The +2 setting you can set to whatever distance you would like to add 2 putts if you are outside of the +1 distance. Hope this helps.

Agree with the posts above. If I’m within 6 feet and get the gimmie I’ll usually drop one on the carpet and putt on into the puttout for good measure.
