Can pls someone explain the GIMME 1 and GIMME 2 rules .... ???????

    Thanks

    Best explained with an example:

    Set Gimme +1 = 1 yard
    Set Gimme + 2 = 3 yards

    Ball lands within 1 yard = +1
    Ball lands within 3 yards = +2

    Set Gimme +1 = 2 yards
    Set Gimme +2 = 15 yards

    Ball lands within 2 yards = +1
Ball lands within 15 yards AND is on green = +2
Ball lands within 15 yards and is NOT on green = +3

This allows devices that are not able to putt and to recognize short chips to skip putting and chipping.

    The other options:

On Green: Ball that lands on green = +2
Gimme: Ball that lands within 2 yards = +2 (default).

Any way to fix the +3 if the ball is NOT on the green? Or at least option to choose whether or not that's applied on the green or on/off the green? Love the distance gimme feature, but we'd all appreciate the option of the chance of getting it up and down (+2) instead of a guaranteed +3 being that close to the hole.

Since I am using protee. what is the suggested setting for tournaments?? I always had gimme set to 2 yards.

Will it ignore the gimme 2 since I have the putting sensor?

You can set it to GIMME. This has the 2 yard default build in. No need to use the other GIMME types.

The GIMME has no effect on the putting sensor. The game just ends the hole when the ball is within 2 yards. Anything outside the 2 yard range you can putt with the putting sensors. Of course feel free to disable GIMME and putt to finish. GIMME is allowed during the tour. Its not required.

Thanks for the explanation , very good ...

    But still one question:

Imagine the ball lands on the green 15 yards from the hole and I still want to put I could just put gimme +1 so then if the ball goes close to the hole but within one yard it gives me +1

Meaning that I still can put to get the ball close to the hole eg 1 yard before it gives me +1 ??? Right??? And this I will just put into gimme 1 then and don't use gimme 2

For tournaments you must set gimmies to 2 yards. No autoputts from 15 yards in tournaments.

Where do I set this at? Is it the TGC skytrak icon? IF so, what key or bracked. I do not see a setting.

thanks man. Found it. Have gone there before to check things out but never saw the down arrows so never saw the additional options. Also, turned on the map. thanks again.
