    TGC on 4K

Today we have tested the new Nvidia GTX 1080 - 8GB card and its great!

We are running TGC at 4K without any issue, stuttering, frame drop, etc. Flyovers and game play both are perfectly smooth.

    PC config:
    i7-6850K 3.2GHz
    32 GB DDR4-2400
    Nvidia GTX 1080 8GB

    TGC Config:
    Resolution: 3840x2160
    Quality: High
    Object Detail: 1
    HQ Tree Count: 2000
    HQ Tree Distance: 1214
    Water Quality: 2

Unfortunately for some reason we are not able to record video with this resolution. We are using FRAPS.
While recording FPS in game is perfectly stable, but the actual video looks like its recorded with 5 FPS max. Maybe FRAPS is unable to handle this. We are recording SSD drives, so that can't be the issue. We will look for a new 4K recording tool

Are you using a projector? I would be interested in hearing from someone that has a 4k PJ and that same card.

No we can't afford a 4K projector... The quality of the projection screen will make the difference. Most screens are meshes or woven material. The image quality will never be the same as shown on a 4K monitor.

Bandicam is doing a much better job! Although we still see some stuttering. This stuttering only happens during the recording. Maybe our SSD drives are not fast enough.

        Here is an example:

I never realized that it was hole number 1 at Augusta that was coming up to the side of the par 3 no. 12. Looks like if you really rip it, you could fly over Hogans Bridge right onto No. 12 green.....lol

It's hole 1 on KSMAN corner. The designer did it for KS. It's 11

You need to try a M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD read 2500MB/s write 1500MB/s I have the Samsung 950 PRO M2 NVMe 512GB.......... it flies
