  • How does Local Multiplayer function with TGC?

    Looking into getting a skytrak along with TGC sim license. My main use of the simulator would be for;

    1) Local multiplayer (close caliber of golfers, multi tees would be nice but not a deal breaker)
    2) Tours/live events
    3) Having a driving range in my garage.

    Wondering if TGC would be ideal for these 3 things? I read a lot of threads about the tour events but not much on Local Multiplayer, also is it possible to play tour events with two players on the same simulator? Thanks for any/all feedback.

    I would highly recommend TGC. The support from TGC is second to none. To answer your questions...
    1) Local multiplayer works great and is fund with like golfers. I play with my wife and kids and have to play a short course to work on short game because one downside is you can only play one set of tee's. This is something I see being upgraded at some point in the future.
    2) The tour and live events are worth the money alone. Some great guys on here form all over the world always willing to help out.
    3)Driving range you can use one hole on TGC or the skytrack range that comes with the software is more than adequate.

    As far as I know, only one player can play per machine, can have multi local plyers playing live events online with same machine.
    Good luck!

        My brother has played a few online tournys with me, in my garage, as my "guest". So, yes, that works.

          Thanks goatbarn! Is there a way you could create an account for your brother and establish a handicap for the tour?

          No, there currently is only 1 profile attached to your TGC license. I would expect this to be handled within TGC2.

          Oh sorry, I should say, yes, they can get a handy cap for the tour, if they play enough events, I believe. The only thing that needs to happen is that ProTee would need to manually enter their scores/handicap for tour play. ProTee please correct me if I'm mistaken.

          My brother just plays scratch when he does compete.
      Working...
