  • I'm a Designer for Hire

    Hey guys,

Owning one of these simulators is awesome! Unfortunately, I do not, but I have been designing courses on TGC for a long time now. You may be familiar with my work. I designed Pebble Beach Golf Links, Firestone, TPC at Sawgrass and many others. My gamertag in the other forums is friendBOMER. I have already helped out a couple of ProTee owners by designing their home courses for them. One of those being "Brae Burn Country Club". I first designed the course on TGC1 and then brought the course over to TGC2019. That way they are able to play it on TGC1 until 2019 is released. With each build I will setup a Work in Progress thread where I will post pictures and updates. At the end I can even send you the course file! It will take about a month for the design process, I will also ask for any pictures you can provide, along with as much green details you can give.

I am currently working on remaking my Firestone and have a Work in Progress thread going. Here you can check it out and can see what the process looks like to create an accurate RCR from scratch.

  • Wishing everyone a Happy Holidays! Tee one up at "Ford's Colony" located in Williamsburg, VA! This a lovely course with tight fairways and some tricky greens! This is the reverse layout of the Marsh Hawk course. Which is the original layout of the course.

"Ford’s Colony features 54 holes with three distinct championship golf courses designed by Dan Maples. Each course brings its own challenges and highlights, whether you play Blackheath, Blue Heron or Marsh Hawk."

      • Tee one up at "Willow Lake Golf Club" located in Metter, GA!

"Willow Lake Golf Club is a Semi-Private facility located in Metter, Georgia. The golf club is nestled among tall pine trees, hills, and lakes.

In the winter of 2016, Willow Lake Golf Club opened up a First Class Practice Facility. Our Driving Range has 15 hitting stations and 5 target greens. We also have a beautiful Short Game Practice Area with a large green and two bunkers.

Throughout the year, Willow Lake Golf Club hosts seven major golf tournaments including an individual Georgia PGA Senior Tour event in early April.

Willow Lake is one of the most beautiful golf courses in South Georgia. Our greens were designed to challenge beginners and seasoned golfers alike. We are open to the public and invite you to play Willow Lake Golf Club."

        • Tee one up at the beautiful "Ohoopee" located in Cobbtown, GA! A course designed specifically with Match play in mind. Throw your scorecard out the window and just get your ball in the hole in less strokes than your competition! Game on!

"As low-key private clubs go, this one’s nearly off the grid. Ohoopee Match Club is situated on the Ohoopee River in rural Georgia, 75 miles west of Savannah. It’s the quietly realized vision of Michael Walrath, a tech mogul and venture capitalist who thought it would be fun to create a place where he and his pals could enjoy match-play golf. In Hanse Golf Design, he found the perfect accomplice to execute that vision."

just played it. what an amazing layout balancing risk/reward throughout. Thanks for designing it!

        • Tee one up at "Millstatt GC, Austria" located in Millstatt, Austria! A beautiful course with breath taking views of Millstatter Lake.

"The golf course is situated, framed by a dreamlike landscape on a sunny high plateau, directly above the Millstätter Lake and offers besides a demanding corse breathtaking views on the surrounding mountains and lakes. The very sunny location enables an unhindered running of the course from April to November."

          • friendBOMBER I just finally pulled the trigger on the update to TGC2019 and can't thank you enough for all the courses you've created. From Sawgrass and Pebble that I played more often than not in the original version of the simulator, to Bay Creek, Valhalla, and the dozens of other courses I have yet to play in TGC2019, the work you've done for others and then been kind enough to share with everyone here on the Golf Simulator Forum is very, very much appreciated! I look forward to working with you on a future course recreation project. Thank you again for sharing your artistry and skills!

You're very welcome! It has been an honor building these courses and I have truly appreciated the love and support from the golf sim community!!

          • Take a vacation to southern Florida and tee one up at "Tradition at Ibis"!

"For our third course, completed in 2001, the Nicklaus design team borrowed from some of the game of golf’s original layouts. Think open fairways, smaller greens, and Scottish brogues and you’ll have a pretty good idea of the old-world flavor of the Tradition. Designer Steve Nicklaus has laid out a charming links-style course in the tradition of the storied fairways of the British Isles …nine hole “outward” and nine holes “inward” back to the Clubhouse."

            • friendBOMBER Brandon just created my hole course, Scotch Pines, in Payette, Idaho. I played it for the first time last night with a friend and his wife. They play 50+ rounds per year on this course. They could not believe how realistic the topography was. Approach shots rolled just like really life and even the running shots rolled exactly true to real life. The cost was extremely reasonable and I would encourage anyone considering having Brandon create a course to pull the trigger.

Combined with the Fusion Tracking update to my Mevo+ (help enormously with short chips), playing a round on the simulator is basically the exact same as real life. We are living in amazing times everyone!!

My pleasure! It's a lot of fun bringing these courses to life and hearing how close they are to the real thing and how much they are enjoyed is the icing on the cake!

            • What was the specific name in TGC2019? And yes, he is a great designer, his courses turn out really nice.

Course is named "Scotch Pines". Just posted some pictures!

            • Tee one up at "Scotch Pines" located in Payette, ID. Designed by William Graham in 1962.

"The Scotch Pines Golf Course is a beautiful 18 hole public course, opened in 1962 and located in the rolling foothills of Payette, ID in Southwestern Idaho, approximately 60 miles west of Boise and on the Idaho/Oregon border. The course is open all year round and has a set of tee for all levels of players from advanced (6600 yards from Blue tees) to beginners. It has played host to numerous state-wide competitive events and is highly rated by golf websites and organizations. The course is very walkable and has a fully stocked Pro shop and driving range, with a special short game area. Lessons are available from an experienced golf professional. There is also a bar/restaurant available for events."

Haven't played there but I have played a course with an runway in the middle of it.:-)
THE GOLF COURSE New greens, tees, and other changes have made the course more challenging in recent years, but it's still not too tough for the average player. Some things haven't changed. The beautiful rolling terrain, without condos or other nearby buildings, provides the same natural feeling that you've

The pictures do not do this course justice. I played this one last week, and loved the risk-reward nature of many of the holes, plus the dramatic elevation changes. Can't wait to give the East Course a try, too. Thanks again for making all these amazing courses, and to the people who've commissioned you to do so!

This course is stunning! I just played the front nine tonight, and hope to play the back tomorrow. Unfortunately, my slightly older PC ran a few of the holes a little sluggishly, but your detail in the planting work is just amazing! I also really enjoyed the shallow water work on the third hole in particular. That's the first time I've seen something like this on a TGC course. This is easily one of my all-time favorites, and I can't wait to play the back nine soon. Thanks again for all your contributions to the sim community!

              • Here is a fly over of Foxburg CC of all 9 holes friendBOMBER created for TGC 2019 - please try it out. It is preset to play from the hickory tees and you will notice on some hole the limestone sand/water box that is on each tee. I will be playing pre 1900 golf there in June in the National Hickory Championship and again in August in the Foxburg Hickory Championship and staying in that house on #2 - the only home on the course when it was built in 1887. So pretty cool.

Foxburg CC 1887 how it was, in 1887. Home of the Foxburg Hickory Championship (August) and in 2022 will host the National Hickory Championship. Was not able to get the Clubhouse cabin (not an option in the design options) but the course is awesome, and very accurate. Used Lidar radar so all the slopes, valley's elevations are within an inch of real. Only house on course was on #2 (in 1887) and doubt the maintenance shed was their so we put an outhouse and a horse! Limited by the tree selection so the red maples not shown and I had to add my favorite tree in 9 fairway 60 yards from green - gone now! Limestone markers are there but not as great as they could be due to selection of stones to use so designer Brandon Pugh put two together to get what we have which look great. You can play this course now on a simulator in TGC 2019 (The Golf Club 2019) you can play on your PC or with an actual simulator like a Uneekor, Full Swing, TrackMan, SkyTrak or Garmin with TGC 2019 software

                • Tee one up at "The Haven CC" located in Boylston, MA. A beautiful course with challenging small greens. Designed by Ron Forse William F. Mitchell (1955) Jim Nagle

"The Haven golf course is widely considered to be the most enjoyable home golf course to play in the region. Varying elevation, small greens and intimate tree lined fairways lend the course its uniquely gratifying character. While suitable and enjoyable for beginning golfers, The Haven features four sets of tees and is a true championship golf course serving as annual venue of the New England PGA Pro-Pro Championship."

Really love the back nine on this one. You have to work the ball both ways, and though the driver may be very tempting, it probably isn't the best choice. At least I can't lose the ball in my sim room Great work as always, Bomber. Thanks for another awesome course!
