I just saw a post online about 2K shutting down the online services for TGC2019 in October which may remove access to all the courses that aren't included in the offline mode. Anyone hear anything on this. Hopefully this isn't accurate.

TGC 2019 for Simulators is running on our own (ProTee) servers.
We are not 2K and we have no intention to shutdown the TGC 2019 for Simulator servers.
You will not lose any functionality.
Network play and the 150k+ courses are hosted on our own (ProTee) servers.

ProTee United ,as a designer with dozens of courses published on Steam rather than my Sim software, will I still have access to download them and edit or should I download them ahead of time and store on a drive just in case edits are needed in the future? I assume that I can copy them into my Sim course folder and open them for editing and republishing??
Edit. I have different ID's between the Steam and Sim platforms..Last edited by jpotas; 01-30-2025, 05:26 PM.My published Courses, all Lidar:

You will need to copy them from your steam version course folder to the sim course folder ( %appdata%\..\locallow\HB Studios Multimedia Ltd_\The Golf Club 2019 ProTee\Courses ).
You should then be able to open them in the TGC 2019 Simulator course editor. You can edit them if needed and publish them on the ProTee servers.

So if we have TGC 2019 we are not going to lose the service? Pro TEE United is doing all the hosting for HP. How does all of this work. Enjoy the product very much and actually had friendBomber do two courses for me hosted on PTU hope to never lose this service. The library of courses you host is amazing and you my want to consider asking for donations or paid for services to never lose this ability to access all these great works of playtainment.

I really hope it will be possible to import courses from TGC 2019. I specifically bought the ProTee United system because it supported TGC 2019 and the course designer. I’ve invested so much time creating my home golf course and a couple of nearby ones using LiDAR—it would be incredibly disappointing not to be able to play them on a future system. The ability to import these courses would be a game changer for me. For now, I’ll hold off on upgrading my golf simulator to see how this situation evolves.
There are so many outstanding courses created by users; losing them would be a significant loss.

Open the steam version, edit existing courses and save them. They'll be on your PC to move over to the ProTee version to edit.Originally posted by Spad View PostI really hope it will be possible to import courses from TGC 2019. I got a new computer and when I downloaded TGC2019 to it, I no longer have the same way of finding the course folder. I used to do it ( %appdata%\..\locallow\HB Studios Multimedia Ltd_\The Golf Club 2019 ProTee\Courses )
Now Pro tee is in a different section of the computer. I believe now it is in program data. I would like to move some of my unpublished courses over to the new computer, but cant find the courses folder anymore. I even made a test course called newgolfcourse, then searched in the protee files and it never showed up. Anybody else figure out a way around this?
Thanks

Hello All, its been awhile since ive posted on here, but im back because im looking for information. I had the OG Skytrak, and have a lifetime license for TGC 2019. Had to sell that unit but kept my license. Im looking to move and the space that i will have available i think its looking like having another skytrak vs going the mevo due to space constraints. My question because im not seeing anything on skytrak website, and looking under the skytrak section of the forum, is do the new skyrak devices still offer connectivity to skytrak at all? I believe the original skytrak device had multiple softwares that could connect to it outside of TGC, but now im interested in potentially the skytrak st max device and all i see if this foresight and trackman level plan for course play. Does the new skytrak devices ST MAX and ST+ not connect to TGC 2019 at all anymore?
Any information would be greatly appreciated. Looking forward to seeing this new opportunity that will be coming out shortly for TGC at the pga show next yr...any insight on where i can find the info about connectivity to other applications for the skytrak products would be welcomed as well. Thanks.
