Finally going to pull the trigger on a build after reading on here for months! I've settled in the skytrak based off of all I've read on here now need help on what package to get, recommendations on where to purchase, and what price should I expect? I've seen people on here saying they've bought them in the $1700.00 range but I can't seem to find that price point anywhere on the web. I also see packages that include practice only or simulator mode. I am building it. Emulator and would like to be able to play courses as well as practice is that just a mod I can add to any skytrak? Or do I need to purchase a specific one to be able to do both? New to the simulator world any help would be appreciated.

I went with these guys - http://www.allsportsystems.com/golf-simulator-setup.php give them a call and they will walk you step by step, or you can look at their web site for about and hour or two to fiqure it out.

Is there anything I should look for when purchasing a used skytrak? I found one on eBay that's it slightly used and has a Zepp swing analyzer anything I should be worried about?

300$ off new skytrak starts tomorrow... for me, a used one is 1500-1700... id rather get a new one for roughly the same, with warranty etc.

You can get the certified pre-owned from skytrak if they have inventory. Skytrak usually has a few sales during the year. Typcially $300 off a new unit.
Probably would want to start with the game improve bundle. Unit, protective case, and the game improvement software.
After that you can look at different simulator software vendors. Examples E6, The Golf Club (personal fav), JNPG

If you guys are looking for screens. I'm a HUGE fan of Carl's.
Purchased my current screen from their clearance section.

I was told there was an oil stain I;ve had it for 2 months now and still can't find it. I purchased a second one as a backup.

I’m going to second what @tripplebogeysrbetter just wrote. My Carl’s screen is awesome. I bought it from the clearance section, and I really can’t tell why it was in there… There’s a tiny little… I’m going to say stain for lack of a better word ... but I can barely find it when I’m looking for it let alone when the projector is on. Great savings if there are sizes you want/need.

I'm going to third what triplebogeysrbetter wrote. I love my Carl's Preferred. I'm on the direct from mill list just because it's a great deal and I'm gonna go bigger than what I have now.

kalcormier I'm loving the GC2! It's pretty cool having virtually instantaneous displays on shots and I'm even using it outside the sim at the range...which I wasn't expecting to do

kalcormier I brought a backup screen from Carl's thinking my standard wouldn't last that long. The backup is a preferred and currently in a box. The standard shows no signs of slowing down.

gnomike Did you do Certified Pre-Owned, New, or from someone selling?
triplebogeysrbetter Do you think a Carl's screen can be washed?

kalcormier Here is what I got from them in an email a while back.
However, you can lightly spot clean your screen with water and a Q-tip, soft rag or sponge. Mild dish soap can be used in small areas with a light touch. Please use care and always test in a very small area first.
