  • Having trouble deciding on software for my newly acquired used GC2

After spending many hours reviewing posts and learning quite a bit I am still confused and would appreciate any advice or assistance. For my GC2, are these my options?

FR1 - Buy from Foresight if possible or from a forum member...price around $1000
FSX2018 - Buy from Foresight for about $3000
TGC - It appears this is an option but I cannot find how to buy it?
e6 - It appears this is an option but I cannot find how to buy it?
JNPG - It appears this is no longer an option since June?

My goal is to use a Driving Range and play some courses with my son and a few friends at my house. Online play is definitely something I may consider.

Can someone please try to clear things up for me? If you can ballpark the cost of these options I would very much appreciate it. Feel free to send a PM as well. I have to get this sorted out before the cold fall weather arrives!

Here is where Pro Tee has the software packages listed, middle of the page.

I’m not sure that you can do the monthly TGC plans with GC2. I think those are just for skytrak. TGC for GC2 is a one time buy for $995 and you will get upgraded to TGC 2019 for free this winter or next spring when it becomes available.

For e6 I’m pretty sure you buy it for Protee and then have to use the Protee interface and GSX to make the GC2 look like a Protee system. I’m not sure how you get those without buying TGC.

As I understand it (from Protee CS) the Protee Interface comes with e6 when you buy it with the Protee sensor option. GSX can then be obtained from Protee CS w/o needing to buy TGC.

FSX 2018 100% - Its by far the best software on the market in my opinion.

JNPG is $250 per year. The June cutoff was for Skytrak users only. There is also the Ipad and Android apps that are free I think for driving range.

I'd like to and maybe next year I will but I've taken my budget to the limit for now. I've purchased a projector, enclosure, gc2, and next a true strike so past my negotiated limit! So now just trying to find the best option. Leaning towards the JNPG since I can simply spend $300 for the next year. I haven't figured out how to purchase that yet though. I think I need to spend some time watching You Tube videos of the various software so I know what I'm buying. Thanks for your feedback I very much appreciate it...and any more advice you may think of!

I thought JNPG wasn't an option anymore, or is that just Skytrak that they stopped allowing new subscribers?

You are correct. JNPG is still good with GC2.
