Also if the GC2 is not sitting fairly level it can create the wrong LA with the shots and thus give carry reads that are not accurate. Also there is a calibration tool that you can download that when you run it with the GC2 sitting level will calibrate it. I think then if that is accurate it can adjust for slight changes to the unit not sitting 100% level as in out on the grass and still read ok.
I had been fighting with my unit and it sitting a bit tilted on my platform and not getting near the carry that I thought I should have been getting. Seems better now.
When I first got my unit and used the Foresight range, I thought I needed to have the boost on 2 to get the right carry. With changing hitting mats and a bit better setup, now when I had gone back to the Foresight range and set the boost at 0, I was hitting my 6 iron 190 plus yards carry and normal would be 180 as a max carry on a warm day. So that 4 or 5% boost that Z was talking about, is right.
