I'm looking at an Xi and would also like to know how to get launch angle from it. Reached out as well to no avail. Thanks

Sorry to bring up and old thread. Does anyone know if it is still possible to get additional data from the Xi? I've reached out to some members to no avail. Hopefully someone can assist me. Thanks.

What a great thread this was. So much information.

I have ordered a flightscope Xi+. Does anyone know how I can get more out of the unit? It sounds like it is possible in this thread but I am unsure how to do this.

    Cheers

Just one angle here which is really important in the decision making for those choosing between the two units. I would argue that the hardware choice is not as important as the software. Having now owned both ST and FS, I can say software is the number one determinant for me.

Getting access to FS Skills is the biggest benefit. I've done Trackman Combine and, while that's pretty solid, I've found that the customization capabilities for different combines on FS (unlimited really) are outstanding.

If you're looking to maximize the value of practicing, FS wins based on software. For Sim integration and flexibility, roadmap of partners, etc...it could very well be ST.

I'm voting for FS, even at the entry level. The club data I get from my X2 is definitely valuable, but nowhere near the Skills scoring and data.

    Undocumented, no.
    Unsupported, yes.
It only disappears if you as the owner decides if it should disapear.

I still dont find it overpriced, work around or not. It still measures all those parameters and they are used in the calculations.

In my opinion yes and regardless of work arounds or not.

If i where you i would wait and see what E6 Cloud brings to Xi and also if it pops up some other option. There is a thread about new/unknown devices. A couple of forum members seem to be involved in beta testing a new device for sim/training which is supposed to be very affordable.

What strikes me with your i7 data is that for a 2 hcp player the data is:
    Low smash
    Erratic spinnumbers
Spinnumbers that are more or less impossible with an i7 without a really weird swing.
Erratic AoA. AoA should be negative with at least -2 with a i7. The low smash and positive AoA indicates reversed pivot or really faulty swing and you would be the first one i ever seen that managed to become a 2 hcp with those numbers.

Did you check so it was setup properly? It looks overall really weird.

I am still not sure why you say that ST is overpriced for what it does. Can you explain?

I wonder if there is anything to do with the environment. I don't know to much about the technology, but I know about cameras. If the environment is not bright enough and lens not fast enough, could the lag of the camera or the noise cause this issue ?

I made the remark regarding the GC2 pricing when i went a bit off topic in an earlier post. Sorry, will try to stay on topic to minimize misunderstandings.

I got the impression that OP wasnt interested in simulation/putting.

The lofts are fine. The whole point behind that was the data was wrong. I don't hit my 7 iron 8 yards longer than my 9. My 7 iron is 35 degrees and 9 is 43 degrees.

Yes, that sounds about right I think the average loft is 34 degrees and average distance is about 175 yards.

Here we have 20 extra yards and a moderate swing speed hence why i think the smash is low if 190-200 should be in reach.

My point was that the numbers dont add up. Something is messade up in the setup.
