  • Help with Skytrak and The Golf Club

I just bought a Skytrak with the Golf Club interface and I was wondering if anyone else who has this can help me with a couple questions:

    1. I'm hitting about 10% less distance wise on the Skytrak. Has anyone else noticed this?

    2. There is a settings screen at the startup of TGC which I can't access. It is red with an x on it. How do I access or change that?

    3. There are two flags on the putting green. One is for distance to the flag, what is the other one for?

    4. TGC keeps saying 5 more game till my handicap will be shown and doesn't change. How do I get this to work?

    Thanks for any help. :-)

A few posts on the Forum about less distance w. SkyTrak. Hunt around and you'll find them.

The 'settings' with a red x is that way for everybody, at least it's that way on mine as well.

Not sure what the second flag is for and not sure that anyone really knows. I believe they will be removing it in a future update.

To get a handicap you have to play 5 courses that are handicap rated. There's a checkbox beside the course info that shows whether it's rated. Try playing the Tournament Q-School. http://golfsimulatorforum.com/forum/...-q-school-2016

Are you seeing 10% less distance in Skytrak range or only in TGC?

If in Skytrak range app, then shorter distances can result in many factors like, indoor swing, mat moving/shifting, too thick of turf mat that effects stance and reduces swing speed, ball type, etc.

If in TGC, then we have noticed TGC has an issue with 4600 and lower backspin that result in shorter carry distances. Meaning the same shot will carry accurately in Skytrak range app, but may be short carry in TGC. TGC pulls the numbers from your launch monitor and calculates it's own carry distance.

Regarding the 2nd flag. Do you mean the yellow line that shows distance. Always go off the center flag with distance above the flag stick. You can move the yellow line which will show the distance and up/down hill slope and will show the numbers in the location the marker is moved.

4600 and lower back spin doesn't show the correct carry numbers? That seems really odd.

Don't take my word for it. Just look at the numbers. You will see the results of my testing.

          See info in this thread:

So if you avg spin with diver is 2200 you will be severely penalized?

I was thinking about buying a skytrak to use with tgc

No issues for me with skytrak and tgc with driver at about 17 -19 launch and low 2k spin

I would definitely recommend Skytrak and TGC. They are a great combo and probably the best lowest cost golf simulator systems you can buy.

Most of my driver carry distances are accurate with low spin. But yes, sometimes in TGC the carry is much less than what my GC2 is saying it is. I believe they are aware of the issue.

Maybe issue is with low spin and low launch. Not sure.
