Wow. Impressive. I'm curious, did you ever consider 4:3 aspect ratio with all that ceiling height?

It never even crossed my mind but now that you mention it it would have been a legitimate option. Probably wouldve made wedge shots hit the impact screen instead of the net above it

A possible indelicate question, but I kind of have to ask. How much did it cost just for the addition? That is an absolutely amazing setup, like dreams are made of this stuff!

We built our house through a builder that offers a sport court (becoming more and more common here in Minnesota). We had them do the sport court with lower ceilings and then I finished the buildout once we moved in.

What are the room dimensions? I am fixing to break ground this month on my simulator and don’t want to over build but for sure don’t want to realize I went too small. Place looks amazing by the way!

25'x15' with 12' ceilings

Thanks for the response...I assume 25 wide? If so that has to gives you all the comfort to swing without worrying about surroundings. I’ve got a trackman so depth required is goin to ruin my budget. I was planning on a 15w X 30 deep but that 15 might be tight.

It took most of the winter but I finally finished the buildout for the sim room! We built our house in the fall last year and I had them build a sport court with 12 foot ceilings then I finished it out to be a full blown sim room. I'm pretty happy with it and honestly its the only way to get through the winter here. Let me know what you think! I'll include links for the vendors I used to buy the components

Awesome job! Which Spectrum screen did you go with? How do you like it so far?

I use the less expensive one. I just assume after a couple of years it will get dirty from cross contaminated balls and worn out in the hitting zone. This way I just plan on replacing every couple of years.

How does the gym wall padding do with shanks? Looks very clean, I was going to do a cage with net but if those mats handle balls well I might copy you.

Wall pads do really good job with shanks, however, the pad above the screen deflects balls with some speed when hitting higher shots (i.e. wedges etc). I put a drop cloth hanging from the ceiling and that handled the deflections pretty well. I'm pretty happy with them overall.

This is amazing! How well do the mats work on the side from protecting the walls? Hope you have never had to test that...is there an impact rating?
