Hi everyone. Im looking to build a simulator in my home for the first time. I am situated in Asia but unfortunately not in a country like Korea where there is easy access to simulators or even to pretty standard building materials. So i will order and ship most items to its important for me to get it right. Sorry for some basic questions to start.
I have a pretty big room allocated for this but im struggling to work out the idea setup which also allows for viewing and entertaining areas. My main concern is the 10' from the screen hitting distance and how much more room is needed behind for safety. The room is 19' by 22'7" by 11' so i hope there is plenty of room. One of the walls (the left one in pics below) is joined with a neighbor so i will add more soundproofing there. Access is from the door on the top right of the pic.
Attached is how i see 2 pics how i see potential layout; one in a corner setup and one in the middle of the room. The blue is the projector. I presumed a pretty big screen of around 16'x10' and i suppose i could go smaller. I believe the first setup (screen in the middle) is the nicest aesthetically but im worried about noise hitting at the wall joined with the neighbour and also entertaining space around it. From the ball position to the wall is 8' and id like a sofa etc in there. Is it enough and safe with back swing?
Sorry for the poor layout pics. If anyone knows a good easy app for layout designs let me know. Any feedback appreciated
