  • Ideas for wall mounted club holder

I'm looking to build something akin to a pool cue rack for holding my clubs when playing TGC19. Do any of you have a wall mounted solution? I would like to mount something behind the hitting area (where my golf bag currently stands). Currently I walk back and grab a club and "line up" my shot just as my preshot routine is out on the course. Having a rack mounted and the bag out of the way would free up some space and reduce wear on my grips from the constant in and out of the golf bag.
    Thanks!

Go down to your local sporting goods store and buy some fishing rod wall mounts. They work pretty good. Like these:

I’m sure others would work too.

I do not have this up yet, but recently went to a golf cart shop and asked if they had any old bag holders they had removed from cart to put rear seats on them. Turns out they did and they were glad to get rid of them because they just threw them away. (this particular style anyhow) I plan to cut it off flush at the part that mounts to the cart frame and mount it to the wall and use with golf bags, just like on the course. I will have 3 total to hold 6 bags.

I used these rubber fishing rod storage clips that I bought from eBay (https://www.ebay.com/itm/10-Rubber-F...72.m2749.l2649). I just mounted the clips to a 1x4 and mounted that to the wall:

This looks awesome. What did you use to mount these to the wood?

They have a hole through the back to put a screw through. I'm pretty sure I used 3/4" wood screws to mount them.

Thank you!! I'll be building some soon. Hate getting my clubs out of the bag each time and this looks great.

I almost named the thread "Show me your racks" but doubted I would get help with the club storage problem....

Nice! That's a great solution for storing your complete setup.

Someone posted a template for a 3d printer. I downloaded that and printed it. Super cheap and works great. If you can’t find the post let me know and I’m hunt down the link

I would say if you're wanting to wall-mount - the Fishing Rod clips are the best, and cheap way to do it. The ones that I bought are no longer available, but these seem to be the same thing:

Use wood screws to mount them, and they can mount on a strip you mount to the wall first. Works well.
