  • It’s here. Garage build started

I have been hitting into a net in my garage until I made up my mind on what to do. Well finally arrived.

Just wondering what it is that you don't like about the mat?

Everyone is different but too me it is very grabby. I have a steep swing and hit very much down on the ball. I have no trouble hitting shots on the course but in this mat I do. I also do not have the issue with the Quattro mat.

How long did it take to receive after you ordered? Just curious as I have ordered one Yesterday from Costco. It says 2-3 weeks. Just curious if it took that long or not.

Took about 2 weeks to ship and another 4 days to deliver. Ships direct from foresight. It was on sale for 16999 when I ordered. Still less than foresight price

ok so you have the Performance mat from FB.. Just was wondering if the Fiberbuilt Strip would be flush to the Quattro Mat. I am thinking of getting the Quattro as my stance mat and have the FB added. just wondering if they would be flush to each other..

had to add around 1/2 inch under it to get it flush. i also bought the rubber pieces from FB to extend the mat to make it 4x9 instead of 4x8

              2x TLCM-E-FBG-TL4 FIBERBUILT RUBBER GRASS EDGE PANEL - 4FT $95.50 each from them TEELINE, 12" x 24"
just made it easier. Cutting the performance mat in 2 4x4 was very easy with a straight edge
the part numbers can be found here.

Soupy, I am leaning toward the SIM in a box too. I too didn't like the difference in height of the two mats. I thought that some carpet padding might level it out. I didn't even know about the Costco route. It has it now for 20k (which is still a deal). Can I ask a few questions:

-You paid 17k + 4k for the swing data. Was that just an older price from Costco? It shows 20k, so I guess it would cost me 24k
-Will you get 2% back from having a premium membership?
-Are you going to stick with the FSX Software or get the e6 now that it is available?
-What does the warranty look like on everything?

Too maximize my rewards I joined costco as a premium member. Then I have a favorite CC I use that only goes up to 16,500 and they wont split payments so I purchased $5000 in costco gift cards. Paid off CC immediately for my rewards on that. Then used the Credit card with the gift cards. You can use as many gift cards as you want on a purchase and they go up to $2000 per card. I had been waiting all month to order and somehow also missed the deal for 17K. So I paid the 20k plus 1400 tax and will have to purchase the 4k club data. I may hold off on the club data addition to see if a deal comes along.

It was a Costco sale that lasted about 2 weeks. the price before and after was 20k- I am being told they do this twice a year July and Christmas time
-you do get 2% back plus if you use their CC you get another 2% back but you need to have a credit limit to cover the entire purchase as they will not divide it into more than one.
-i have no desire to spend $2500 + 300/600 a year for E6. FSX for game play is not bad if you do not care about online or state of the art Graphics. I am also hearing foresight is working on new game engine that should allow them to be up there with the other s/'w gaming graphics. They will just have the real golf feel a little more

            - warranty is 2 years on the GCQ and manufacturers warranty on everything else.

Very cool setup! Does that mat take a tee or place to insert rubber tee?

Just stick in a regular tee anywhere.

A couple questions for those with the sim in a box. Is it a 16:10 screen setup? What’s the dimensions of the frame and screen size? Did they go with aluminum tubing or emt? I’m wondering if there’s anyway to source who makes all those materials for foresight?

The screen is ~ 12x8 and the projector is native 16:10 and is very bright
the enclosure is not pipe or emt but very rigid square frame. it is very well built and easy to put together.

Just curious if you have pretty good wrinkles in the middle of your screen where you drive the ball a lot. Do yours go away or stay there. Just curious if this is pretty common.

they do not bother me that much. I know they are there and I know the netting behind the screen is very good. It was never meant to be a movie theatre. It could be the way foresight separates the netting from the projection screen. I would have to see what experience people have with something like an SQ or Carl's preferred
