So - after a few posts, lots of reading, a massive spreadsheet and an online shopping spree - my garage golf sim is FINALLY compete. This will be a longer post but want to include many photos to help those that may be looking for the same type of setup. The main thing was needing to still be able to park both of our vehicles in our standard 2 car garage when not playing.

Step 1
I built the Fiberbuilt Insert and Mat - I opted for doing this DIY as teh 5x4 mat was out of stock and this allowed me also to save a few hundred. I matched up the platform and the top of the Fiberbuilt insert so they are both the same height off the floor. Also by building them as 2 pieces I can rotate and shift around as wear and tear happens.
Step 2
After a few days all of my pipe connectors came in so I went to Home Depot and grabbed some 1" EMT and got to work. The key here is to measure and measure again - you'll notice I didn't do this and for some reason I thought 8' was 86" vs 96" - oops. My garage has a very thick slab so I needed to cut the pipe in about 2' above the ground to account for this. I have the screen about 14" off the wall and it still sits inside the cabinet which sits around 18" from the wall.
Step 3
This was the easy step, I used tarp clips to attach the screen to the pipe. I can undo these when I pick it up and store everything behind the screen, it works perfect. I went with the middle of the road Carls screen and so far I'm very happy with it.
Step 4
Finishing up I had to mount the projector and get with it. THIS IS A PAIN IN THE REAR!!! Who knew how tough projectors were to get perfect, especially 11' in the air. I got it in a spot I'm 90% happy with, the bottom right corner is cut off a little but oh well it plays great.
Step 5
The only thing left was the netting - I used the HD net from Amazon and the curtain track to do a side net to prevent shanks from bouncing all around, and bought just a cheap net for an overhead protection. Playing today I need to figure out wedges, they are still bouncing off of something and I need to do a few tweaks. Overall, again, 90% happy with everything.
Step 6 - Overkill
I decided that a couple fans in the garage in Houston mid summer would not cut it so I got a portable AC - this kept the garage around 79-81 all day today when it was 95+ outside. The big thing also is that the humidity in the garage was in the 40's (vs 60-70s outside). I'm going to cut a wall vent in the wall and vent this out the side of the garage so I don't have to do some make shift rigging under the door - will add these photos when it's all said and done.
Time to do some testing now!!

BIG THANKS to everyone who helped answer questions over the past few weeks - I can tell this is going to get a TON of use (oh yea, it also doubles as a movie room for the little one - we already watched "Let it Go" about 10 times and Elsa is life sized!)
