pathfindr - Is your garage a 20x20? How did you place each fixture? Where is your hitting location in relationship to the light placement? Do you have a drawing of the layout? Might be easier to just take a picture of your ceiling.

stunted Did you ever get a chance to test those 2 bulbs? I have a garage setup and I’m not concerned about washing out the projector. All I really need is enough light to record in 240fps (without flicker preferably) when it’s too cold to go outside. I have an old Casio that I use when I go outside and my phone will also record in 240, but both require way more light than what I have currently. Just trying to find something plug and play if that even exists.

I bought these and mounted the Uneekor swing optic cameras directly onto the same tripods that the lights are mounted on. Plenty bright enough and zero flicker/blur

If he used 2 of them, that means his room has 60k lumens?

I have a 15k lumen light, I think it is usable down to around -9 exposure for the OV4689...that is if it didn't flicker.

Yes, we use at least 6 of the true 3,000 lumen bulbs to stop the club without blur. Takes way more light than you think, even with fast lenses.

It's possible it's not flicker because it uses DC power. But it doesn't seem strong enough, using a lumen/lux calculator it seems to fall well short...but not sure if I put in the data correctly. Me personally I'm going for something that can capture the club and shaft without blur, so would need at least 20k lumens I think.

"No flicker" in that context means no flicker visible to the eye - different from truly no flicker under slow-mo video capture. Also, it would be very hard to snoot one of those panels to keep light off the screen - panels give a broad light pattern, the opposite of what you want for swing video use. Doubt that panel is any brighter than a single Satco 3K lumen bulb listed in my article at https://gunghogolf.com/articles/indo...video-lighting.

Found a possible simple lighting option - therapy lights. Have any of you guys tried it? 10k lux, no flicker, small size, plug. Not sure if they actually mean 10k lumens, some answers say it's lumens, I saw a youtube video where they messaged the company and said it was only like 900 lumens. Reading how it's super bright makes me think it's lumens - I do have a 15k lumen light (apparently - it's a cheap light that flickers like crazy) and it is blinding.

Ordered Satco 33W PAR38 3000K High Lumen LED from BulbAmerica.com, as recommended by Ron (GunghoGolf) on Thursday and received them this morning (Saturday). They are very bright (3000 Lumens) I did a quick test using my iphone in slowmo video and there was no flickering at all. They have 40 degree narrow beam angle which is nice. I'm looking to move my sim setup from my garage to inside the house and have been buying and testing various less-industrial looking non-flickering lights than what I currently have. During my testing, I did find some recessed LED lights that don't have flickering at high frame rate (such as this one https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B082XLKTT4 ) but most of them have pretty wide bean angle like 110 or 120 degree. Really appreciate Ron's info.

Our electrician used a standard dimmer switch from Home Depot. The bulb specs say "Triac" dimmer type should be used.
