    New to ST/TGC

Hey guys just checking in. Bought a ST with TGC and can't explain how great this is.

My name is Brett Metzger, currently play out of northern kentucky. Grew up in south eastern wisconsin and have been playing golf ever since I can remember. I currently play to a +3 and play in all the am events i can. Pretty much what i'm trying to say is I know my game and this launch monitor with the sim is great.

So far first impressions this thing is pretty much spot on. I hit my driver right around 300 pretty consistently. My carry has been 280-300 pretty much everytime. All my iron distances seem pretty good as well.

Can't wait to get the Qschool in and start playing with you all. See you on the course!!

Welcome Brett - Dave from Louisville Ky. Purchased my skytrak back in May and also like it. However, my drives only go about 190-210 and I am more of a 15 handicap but love the skytrak. I also find I accurate.

Welcome Brett! Guess you didn't get the news that SkyTrak underestimates driver distance... Sorry, just an aside to the latest kerfuffle on the forum.

You'll do well on the tour!

Thanks for the welcome boys...after I figure a couple things out I'll work on getting my qschool in...as of now I'm not comfortable competing...the short game and putting are really making me scratch my head

Another welcome from south central Kansas! Short game is definitely the thing that takes the most getting used to. Looking forward to having another tour member!

Trying to get the Skytrak and TGC together myself and also from Kentucky. Centralk KY here. Skytrak and TGC has got to be better than going about all winter without playing or playing once in awhile if you are lucky and it's 40 degrees.

For those who find that ST is a little light on distance with the driver......You can boost your driver in the setup file with TGC. Make sure that you don't have ISS ( Indoor Swing Syndrome ) I didn't swing my driver fully for almost 2 months..... now I hit it like I am outside. There are also putting and green settings in the setup file. This is to help you match your local courses speed and conditions.

Welcome aboard Brett and Golfer13. Some quick advice on joining the tour. Since you are close to a scratch golfer, you can skip Q school and go right into the tour. The tour will start you off as a scratch golfer until proven otherwise. Handicaps are automatically updated weekly.
