  • LX2 Launch Monitor

Has any body used the LX2 Launch Monitor? It is a stand alone launch monitor that provides ball data only it seems. The GSA site makes it seem as though it works with TGC, E6, etc

If anyone has used it do you have any thoughts? How does it compare to the known entities (flightscope, foresight, etc products)?

I don't get too caught up in naming conventions, but if it performs like the GC Hawk/Eye XO at the price it's shown on the website, I'll be interested. Although, I'm not an early adopter on these type of things, so I'll have to wait to hear feedback from keither5150 or others

Sure! We all want the Esprit to be as good or better than a Uneekor at a fraction of the price, but their products get announced long before they are ready for sale to the public. Two of the most recent announcements, the LX3 and the Esprit are certainly very attractive on paper. One playing in the Skytrak/GC space (floor sitting), the other competing with Uneekor/Hawk in the overhead market. If they could just get one of these units polished and production ready I'm sure they would fly off the shelves. I really hope they can focus and deliver, but the track record suggests it's unlikely to happen. I hope I'm proven wrong though.

Focus and delivering a true solid product has been the Achilles heel for Martin and GSA. We’re hoping that keither will bring some of these qualities to the company as we move forward.

Martin does not always listen to me...... The Vistrak Stereo is ready for sale...... There are minor bugs but the system is quite playable with more accurate club data than the old PX5 units. Add the video playback of the clubhead at impact and the larger hitting area void of sensors......and you have a pretty decent system. Once I get the details worked out with Martin as to what extent my role will be at GSA.... I will then post an official release of the Vistrak and Vistrak Stereo. I will then be on to testing the Vistrak X.

As brilliant as Martin is..... at times he can be his own worst enemy. I have a Mevo + on the way for some side by side testing. The GC2's flash proved to occasionally mess up the Vistrak's images. So the Mevo+ seems to be the most cost effective way to test side by side.

Once Martin and I agree on some terms, I will provide all of the information about GSA's new systems. I will most likely be taking over the customer service responsibilities, production, and Canadian distribution. If we don't come to terms..... I will just play golf and enjoy my sim.

So far the only thing I can think is just don't waste your money. It doesn't do nearly what it says on the website and I suspect it may never. It is truly not a consumer product.

I mean, any site that can't proof read their sales copy makes me suspect. "Unlike systems form other manufacturers"

I have been testing a GSA products for just over a year. Out of all the products he has listed. I have only been able to use the Vistrak Stereo System and must say it works flawlessly. If setup correctly. All other LM I have Beta test do not work properly at this time. This includes the Quantum series and LX series. Keith has done more testing on LX systems then I have. Maybe he can add to this his beta testing results.

LX systems are not ready for sale. Still some work to do on the software. The Vistrak stereo works very well.

I'm currently in the process of setting my LX up as an eagle. Based on the tech news on the website it sounds almost like he's going to stop trying to make it read spin and stuff. Seems like he spend the last 2 weeks trying to push new style cameras to do what the LX says it can do already.

Martin emailed and said that he updated the code on spin measurement for the LX2.... I will test this during the weekend. I will post a notice when I think that the unit is playable.
