  • GGS GSA golf LX Pro Launch Monitor

    http://www.golf-simulators.com/technical_news.htm

Martin's been busy with tons of updates and still coming up with new spin devices. Any LX Pro users out there willing to give a review?

People should understand that the LX will never be plug and play like the GC2. Unless Martin adds a microprocessor or mini pc to it, you will always have to deal with Windows, drivers, etc...

So far, the first user reports were as expected.

And this is just trying to get the software to be recognized. Wait till he tries to get the ball measurement. Full shots, chips, putts, club causing errors, ball path off etc. etc. etc.

Exactly bubba22. Once he gets the software to work, it'll probably just be a slight improvement over the Vector but with 95 RC courses.

Still surprised Martin is not on the forum helping him out.

There's now an LX-Pro II, using wide angle lens. Introduces a forward setup hitting position to increase ball path accuracy.

The forward setup might be a mistake IMO. The cmaeras might not pickup the line for the spin.

Exactly Z. It will be a work in progress to get accuracy. There is one user on the Ottawa forum with an LXPro that is in for a long road.

I'm surprised he hasn't picked up the phone and called Martin yet. The user appears to be pretty technical but he has a lot to learn about Martin's systems and how the work, or don't work.

Oh. My. God. That blog thread schaedj has going on ********** about his experience makes me stressed just reading it. That's a guy I want as my neighbor for when my computer crashes beyond recovery and I would otherwise send it sailing over a cliff. It makes the quirks from the other systems seem like paper cuts from opening the box.

The sad part is he'll be spending the next 6-12 months trying to get it to work accurately and consistently. In the mean time, his hdcp will skyrocket.

I have been reading it too. I have got to say I admire his commitment. It certainly helps to not easily be discouraged.

Martin's postings in the last few updates pretty much tells you what goes on in his mind. This forward idea is a mistake for reasons I mentioned above. But Martin dropped it one day only to come up with a solution the next day.

He needs to stop fooling around on the technews page and start answering his emails more often, then get online and assist the poor guy already. Do remote support as somebody suggested.

Playing around with this stuff can be fun until it ends up being a $2500 paper weight.

Martin's been busy and appears to have been driving in a circle for the last couple of years. He's back to using mat triggers again. http://www.golf-simulators.com/technical_news.htm

The single person that bought the LX reports that it's still not working.

Looks like he decided to bring the PX5 back to the market...

Like I said, he's driving in a circle. The PX5 was his best simulator. He just needs to keep improving the hardware and the GSA software.
