Optishot 2.0 and Online Tournament Procedures

Hey guys, I think we need to clear up a problem with the trajectory. With my driver in ANY wind if I set it to the highest trajectory, I get 15 to 20 more yards !! I think we should no longer use this setting with ANY clubs except when we need a flop shot around the green.
What are your thoughts on this ?

I use it sometimes over the forest or if behind a house or something. I would be sad to see the possibility go to hit a high 8iron for example. With the driver I kinda agree.

Your right Aurin i do the same thing. Maybe just off the tee with a driver. I don't know if its longer with a 3wood from the fairway ?

I not sure on this one Maxxx because players do adjust ball placement in their Stance to get different trajectory..., This is part of the Software and we want to include it if is part of the Simulator.. Their is no advantage to any one player because we can all use it... As far as the Distance, I do get longer distances with wind behind me and more carry on normal wind. But I do not see that when the wind is against me..

I think we need to allow Optishot to address these concerns and make and make the fixes if they need to be made. We do not want to try to police this one..

That works for me Catman but even into a head wind I get more distance with the same MPH clubhead speed as regular trajectory Hopfully DD fixes it because its a power boost when you need it .

So just played a practise round and before I really never paid attention to the trajectory iuntil now. What I did notice I did have it set 1 higher then standard. So I adjusted trajectory back to standard and played a practise round and did notice a couple things. Yes the ball does not fly has far. Sometimes up to 20-30 yards but in return my swing speed was around a 100. So I put my swingtip on my club to see the club speed and it was showing around 116 compared to 101 on optishot. So slower club head speed will affect the yardage. I do notice it affects all clubs from 8 iron down to 3 iron.

Optishot is pitched as a simulator, power boosts just detract from the game imho. Ill play tiger woods on the playstation if i want power boosts.
