And yes I can play a round shooting good or bad in less then a half hour. I don't understand how it could take any longer. What does everybody do when it's loading for the next shot. Here's my routine. It might speed up play. So once I hit my shot I go back to the computer and wait for the screen to change for next shot. Once it changes. I look at yardage and wind and adjust and step up and hit shot.

On a side note. You guys have no idea when I was standing on 17 how shaky I was. Just 30 minutes before that I was standing on that hole and shot 3 in the water. So you must understand what was going through my mind. But I hit it well and stuck it 3 feet from the pin. I'm sure my neighbors heard me yelling. Lol.

Like I was telling catman in real golf I'm a plus 2 handicapp. And I had my optishot for over a year now and never touched the putter. I had 30ft gimme putts and was shooting in the mid 50s. But since joining the tour online I had to learn out to putt. In the -8 round I didnt 3 putt. Normally I would 5 putt once or twice or 3 putt 6 or 7 times a round. So when you figure all that in. You can u set stand why it was such a low score.

Honestly I hope I can do that again many times because wow. It's such a rush. It's like competive golf in the real world and I had that feeling last night. I was so ecstatic that I vouldnt even sleep last night. It does pay off to practise putting.

Anyways thanks for listening and hope you guys don't think I have cheated like I'm being accused of right now. Feels like somebody punched you in the gut.

    1. Congrats!. That's a hell of a score at Sawgrass. And I get what you're saying about the putting. I too play around scratch in real life and I struggled mightily when first putting. (Still do)

    2. I am an extremely fast player in real life (rarely take a practice swing). I also have the same routine as you do and I play in around 50 minutes . So I have no problem seeing how it could take longer than 30 minutes as you stated. And I don't consider that slow by any means. Between skipping flyovers, aiming, changing clubs... it just adds a little time. I would just suggest being more active in the forums and maybe playing with others on occasion. Maxxx and I played the other night in 1:25. That's around what a twosome could play 9 holes in real life. So I personally consider that fast. Isn't that what this about anyway, trying to replace the real thing while we wait out winter?

    Again, congrats.

Like I was telling catman. Until this online thing started I never used a putter to putt. So I had many 4 putts and even 5 putts the ballooned the score way up there. Since I been practicing with the putter I seen a improvement With the game last night I never 3 putted one hole. I was waiting for that to happen the whole round but it never did. It's a good thing I missed 3 puts for birdie or who knows what would of happened. But I did make two putts from 30 plus feet that helped.

And yes its absolutely possible to do a round in less then a half hour at your own speed. Any bets. ????????

In no way am I saying you can't do it in that time. My suggestion was don't call us that play in 50 minutes slow or suggest we speed up play. You said "I don't see how it could take any longer than that". It absolutely can and I consider that pace normal and yours unusually fast. So we just have a difference of opinion on what's considered normal. No worries, good luck with your weekend rounds.

            Willy, I verify your scorecard.

I did not mean to offend in my previous post to you. I just personally found it strange that you was driving so long consistently. You was around 100 yards further than CatMan or myself in that practice round under round 1 conditions (slow greens slow fairways) regardless of wind direction. I drive the ball around 270 in OptiShot.

Hey Vincent. if you want to tee it tonight. Should be around tonight at 7mst. Or fact anybody. Just one rule. We play at our own speed. I might not shoot a -8 again . Not sure if I could handle doing that again in tournament play For one the nerves were out of control like in real life and two the putter was hot and didn't take any extra penalty strokes for in the water.

Haven't you guys ever have a good game in real life and it always came down to the flat stick. ??

I drive the ball 281m average over 500+ drives on optishot. That is about 310yd. Average. I have loads of 320m+ drives on opti. 350yd is just a good drive from someone who hits it long. I have no problems believing it. When it comes to the scorecard then if it can be found on optishot in the correct group then its perfecly legit as far as im concerned.

So why do I have to keep defending myself here. I'm not a cheater in optishot or real golf.

                      Willy,

I trust what your saying but in the best interest of every member I need to verify.. I wear many hats and this is one I don't like to wear but I do it anyways. Tonight me and you will play nine holes I just need to verify a few things, if everything looks good, all is well..

I would play with you, but in order to play the same pin locations as those ranked closest to you, we had to change the game invites to play only with the 3 people ranked closest to you for rounds 3 & 4. This is a temporary solution until DD gives us the ability to set fixed pin locations, which is hopefully coming soon.

I disagree. A 350 yard drive average is 36 yards longer than Bubba Watson who lead the PGA tour last year in driving distance with an average of 314 and an astonishing 60 yards more than the tour average (290 yards) and as we know tour fairways get plenty of roll and not so much in OptiShot.

I can verify the score card.

It is an incredible round and as I said in my first post regarding this, he should be proud.

Vincent your right about playing with other guys on here. But sometimes it hard to have anybody meet up when your free to play this amazing game. I did play with a couple guys and honestly I was out of rhythm and by the 6 th hole I was putting with my wedge and trying to swing for the fence. So in retrospect playing online and waiting for your turn to hit was not fitting my game. That's why I have no problem playing with other people at your own pace.

There is no rules stating you have to play with anybody just has long it's verified by one of the numbers that is emailed to you.

If there is guys out there that play fast then I'm all for it playing shot for shot.
