I ordered the stuff CatMan has in his videos. ProGaffer tape from Amazon and it is suppose to be here between the 8th and 11th.

Use black hockey. Works great. Then use white duct tape.

    • Thanks. I'm heading to the store this morning.

      • I just looked and realized that I was using black duck tape, not gorilla tape. I have also used the white duck tape, but found (for me and my lighting) the white vinyl electrical tape worked best.

        • I picked up some black gorilla tape and a roll of white vinyl electrical tape - it seems to have helped but I am still unable to calibrate with out the error.

Something is not right though because if I open the club face to say 45 degree and swing the swing result is 12 degree open. If I shut the club face down 45 degrees and intentionally try to snap hook the ball it flies dead straight. If I swing with a square club face I get between 5-7 degree open, which causes maybe a 30 - 40 yard slice when in the real world I am more of a 10-20 yard fade. So it is getting better, but not there yet.

I have retaped 3 times now, and am going to try again in a little while. Taking a mental break due to the frustration for now but I hope to get the kinks worked out early after noon and play round 4 for fun.

When you calibrated did you do it on the range or on a course? If I understood their facebook response to my post, they said they were aware of a problem on the range and recommended "practicing" on the course. So I may go try that and see if I still get the calibration error. Also did you use only one layer of black tape on the bottom of your club or multiple layers, the error says something about trying to make the bottom of your club as flat as possible. I have a Ping G10 driver that is not really an odd shape and IS relatively flat on the bottom, but I was considering putting on 2 or 3 layers of the black tape to try to flatten it out more.

          Thanks again for the information.

          • Where is the calibration option? I have looked in the bottom right hand option during game play and only get the manage clubs options, nothing about calibration.

            • I used one layer of black tape an ine 3/4" strip of white tape. I calibrated mine on the range. As long as I went low and ssslllooowww, I didn't have any problems.

              What is your lighting?

Natural lighting only. I am set up in a formal living room but I have the windows blacked out with blackout curtains.

My room is dark enough to see the projector easily but not pitch black. It is dark enough that there are no shadows.

                  • Dbosman...Are you running the final release software of Optishot 2 or the beta? The calibration wasn't in the beta.
