Mr. Hogan. Yes some people do hit that far IRl. i play on the HD Simulator on the weekends with my group that I golf with during the summer and I have to say it's pretty close to realistic. My swing speed on the hd simulator is pretty to the optishot. Not sure if you know what smash factor is but I guess its the golf term everybody uses. Mine is around 1.42 to 1.46.

The difference between the two simulator I do notice is that when you hit a bad shot on the optishot. It still goes the same distance has if you it it pure. The reason being is because it measures your club head and angle of the club. It can't tell if you top it or duff it.

Im not going to change my settings in optishot when I know I can hit those shots IRl. Now I do disagree if people need to go higher then 100.

So why you messing about playing online tournaments when you should be playing on tour.
So im the only one who hits the ball 250 yards in real life. Must just be my optishot that adds 50 yards to it.

I'm not sure why Im getting picked on every week. Last week I was called a cheater

Your right mr hogan. Why am I not out on tour with those numbers. IRl i can keep up to any pro on tour from tee to green all day and any day. But when it comes to the flat stick I get the yips. And some days can be really bad. Just like in optishot 4 or 5 putting greens. It sucks when IRl it carry overs to the gaming life. It's all between the ears and when I do get that figured out you might just see me on the tour. No wait. Maybe the champions tour. Lol.

I'm here because I love the game of golf just like everybody else that is here. It passes the winter and I can still work on my game indoors.

Willy i'm not picking on you per se, its Optishot numbers that frustrate me. Now before I played my final BH round i hit a few practice balls down the 1st - I play 'foam ball' normally as I use almost balls. But thought I should try the other ball settings based on recent chatter. On 'real ball' I hit 340-370 yards, 'no ball' 330-350 yards, 'foam ball' 300-330 yards, so theres 40 yards to be gained depending upon ball type selected. Now given I have stated that I hit 250 in real life so thats typically 240-260 how on earth can I hit 300 yards minimum down the 1st with no warm up...
Your saying your optishot works exactly like real life therefore I must either accept that my optishot is different to yours or believe that you would be on tour if you could stop 4 putting!
To be clear I'm not saying your cheating, I'm saying Optishot is cheating us. I dont want any hard feelings buddy that not my intention at all.

All my rounds are recorded on twitch tv to cover myself just in case I shoot 20 under, I'm also showing ball settings and all club settings before teeing off. Mayvbe a good Insurance policy for everybody.

whats your lighting like? I have a lamps directly setup over my sensors just a little over waist high. Also, my woods are taped different than Catmans video. I use a strip of reflective tape (safety tape) surrounded by black. In real life I drive the ball on average (with roll out) around 280 GPS verified. On Optishot I am pretty close to the same carry distance. Occasionally I poke one over 300 but I also do that occasionally in real life too.

Part of the problem is that you can deliberately hit one thin and it will increase your swing speed. Better players can easily manipulate that without touching their settings.

I have flourescent tubes, no taping on the clubs - I would expect the taping to affect face angle more than club speed, and I do get some unfair club face angles sometimes, i've been living with them as i'm too lazy to do the taping!
