Harbor Freight has a pack of 4 2'x2' squares that are 1/2" thick on sale for 7.99! I picked up 6 packs. Best deal I've seen anywhere!
Please post your lighting setups for use with Optishot

So I have a A/B USB selector switch so it's as easy as hitting a button to activate the left or right Optishot.
Hey make, care to share any more info as to the usb switch? I am finishing my setup and have a separate cutout for lefties and righties. I will be using just my one optishot sensor for the time being but want to try and make it simple and not have to keep swapping usb cables or anything like that.

I picked up a pair of these led shop lights from Lowes. I hung one directly over top of each sensor pad. Getting great ball reads! They put off a ton of light, and the Optishot sensors agree with them.

Nice Job Madspeed ! It looks like a first class job. How far is it from the sensors to your screen ?

My impact screen is the HG stuff from Cory at Par2Pro. I am 5'10" and I am standing just in front of the left handers sensor when hitting from the right hand sensor. Perhaps someone over 6' may find the sensor pad to be a bit in the way, but in that case, they can go build their own setup! And those are tthe Monster Turf covers from JagManJoe

I am also using real balls with this setup. I think the extra carry distance helps as there are no marks at all on the screen. The bottom of the screen is just hanging loosely for now, but I would like to come up with some type of fastening system to prevent the balls from going behind the screen

Madspeed! Your sim build looks great! Cool you set it up like mine with the two sensor pads. That's the only way I could do it making it fit both lefty and righty players. My room wasn't wide enough to have only 1 sensor pad in the middle.
Did you get the new A/B Selector switch? Does this one work? You said the last one didn't detect the sensor pads.

I returned the usb selector switch. It was a pos, loojed like it was put together by a kindergartener. Ordered a different one but it hasnt arrived yet.
I tacked down and trimmed the carpeting today, looks great! About the only thing left to do is hook up the usb switch when it arrives. Other than that, she's ready to play. Time to practice before I join ya'll on the course as I'm not that good.

Do you have any probs when hitting say a LW, or do you have a netted ceiling too
