Hey Willy, please don't take this personal or as a stab at you. I am not saying you don't swing it 125MPH. However the reality is that is very very high. In fact that is the swing speed of the highest PGA players which only a few swing at that rate. So again don't take this as a persona stab. I would agree with the others that don't rely on HD Golf Simulator for accurate readings of your swing speed. If you can find a local golf shop for fitting that uses a Trackman/Flightscop or other high standard hardware. I know you are saying that the Opti isn't reading to your average 116-125. But possibly your swing speed is really about 110....which is still extremely fast! Again, not judging or saying it is. Just that most all of us tested and nobody is complaining that the Optishot is not reading too slow. If anything it is reading 2 MPH fast, based on a lot of my testing. If you really do get tested on a Trackman and hit 125 MPH, then I will say holy shit!!!! That is MF'n Fast!!!! ....LOL. and bow down to you....LOL. Please take this lightly, not judging you. Maybe HD Golf is boosting the speed. A lot of places do this.

Did a massive testing session with Catman... think these follwoing numbers could be golden

Current Positon

1. Real Ball, Stock Turf - 100% Speed, 90% Distance................100% Confident in this setting. Fully tested by Catman, Myself and Buckeye an others

2. Real Ball, Thick Turf - 100% Speed 90% Distance................ 100% Confident Fully tested with Mike and John.

3. Foam Ball, Stock Turf - 93% Speed, 88% Distance......This needs testing but Catman did a direct swap between Real and Foam and this yielded identical results between the 2

4. Foam Ball, Thick Turf - 98% Speed, 90% Distance.......100% Confident, Maxxx Catman and Vega tested

5. No Ball Setting - 100% Speed 90% Distance...........100% Confident Tested with IAN HOGGARD and another whos name I forget, ratios and swing speeds seem spot on.

6. If using a 3 wood instead of Driver due to Height Restrictions Use Identical settings to those you would normally use as per your ball and turf setup above. Strangely physically hitting a 3 wood makes no difference... 100% confident in this after extensive testing

7. Everything other than Driver must be set to real world distances varying speed and distance settings accordingly, however 3 wood and 5 wood must not exceed Speed % relative to your own personal ball and turf setup, but Distance settings may be up to MAX 100% Distance Setting... tested thoroughly. Most players seem to find 100S 100D is perfect, however if you find distance are long then set to 100S 90D or whatever it is to make them correct.

8. Any individual Driver, 3 or 5 wood settings outside of the above guideline may be adjusted to a different % ONLY if evidence from an external device, ie TRACKMAN/GC2/FLIGHTSCOPE etc can prove without doubt that a persons Swing Speed/Distance is not being accurately read by Optishot and an adjustment away from the settings above is required. This change would need to be approved by the Board on a case by case basis

9. All Players must record there rounds and if requested make them available for review by the Board. Anyone found in breach of the above settings or using settings for any club to falsely significantly improve their ability or gameplay (ie, hitting a PW 250 yards) shall be removed from the tournament and face further action as the Board do see fit.

Really need Auri and Joe to test the 93 Speed, 88 Distance setting. May well be that Swing Speed Number slightly off for you Auri, as you may well come in the category of a "special circumstance as in Rule 8, but hopefully the distances will be good.

Please those of you who hit foam balls on stock turf please try 93, 88 as once that confirmed we've got ourselves some stock numbers we can all use !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I believe in 93S 88D as myself and Catman did direct results, ie he hit real ball stock turf, driver setting 100S 90 D and was getting average 100 mph Speed, 248 Distance. Swapped to foam ball, change setting on opti to foam ball, driver setting to 93S 88D and was getting 100mph 250 yards

Watched the stream to verify numbers... Please please can some people try this so I can have my life back lol

Thank you to those who spent a few HOURS testing too. We will improve this league because of the time and effort you guys put in to this, I certainly appreciate this.

It truly has been hours, by multiple people, with probably well over a thousand drives worth of data. Auri hit 192 in one evening!!! God knows how many cat man did tonight but was a lot, buckeye the same earlier today, as well as the numerous others all hiring 20, 30 40 drive tests. I've hit 160 plus myself.

It's been a long road with a few heated exchanges along the way but hopefully were nearly there.. Well on this issue anyway.

It's amazing how it jumped to 125mph. Not once did I ever say that. I have said many times that my swing speeds were between 116-124.

And this hd simulator I go to is not s place where they sell clubs. It's where pros go to tune up on there swings. I have two guys that are pros. One on the canadian tour and one guy who is on some tour down in the states. And after talking to them many times they say this is one of the most accurate simulators they have seen and used and that's why I'm saying it's one of the most accurate that I have used.

But it looks like I have to play with foam balls to keep up with the rest of the pack but I refuse to do that. So on second thoughts

how much is a protee. Might have to go that way.

The way I read it 3w and 5w speed setting should correlate with your driver SS/turf set up, but distance can be adjusted up to 100%. The goal is to make it real as possible so people defaulting to 100% for extra distance should be frowned upon. I think in the testing it was shown that some people are fine at 100% 100% 3w 5w while others need to dial it down.

My 3w speed at 100% is fine but I had to dial the distance down to 90% to get realistic. My 5w speed is ok too, but I needed to go all the way back to 85% distance on it.

I think his rule on woods is more or less a place marker for now. I don't think a lot of testing or research has gone that route yet.

Hey Willy! Didn't want you to take this personal. Really. Sorry if it came off that way Was just thinking if there was a possibility that maybe your swing speed was being misread from HD Golf. Was trying to be more proactive in understanding why OptiShot wasn't able to pick up your swing but could on others. So that's why I was wondering if it was picking up your Swing Speeds of 110 MPH but maybe you weren't getting accurate results else ware. Again, I don't know either way. My constructive thinking came off offensive to you. Sorry about that! We are all testing and making good progress with finding a solution. I am really looking forward to the next tournament that will hopefully be a little closer to realistic drives.
